Designed by Robin Nelson, The Dunes at Maui Lani is immaculately maintained and brilliantly laid out. It is a tribute to the great links courses of Ireland that more than one golf writer has described as a "British Open course on Maui." Stunning dunes dot the terrain at every corner, challenging the golfer at every hole.

In addition to 18 holes of championship golf, The Dunes offers the only lighted practice range in central Maui, with grass tees, fairway and green-side bunkers and a pitching and putting green, plus an air-conditioned pavilion. Also, when not on the golf course, golfers can enjoy a four-star meal at Cafe O'Lei at The Dunes.

The starter got me out as a single immediately so that I didn’t get stuck behind a large group of golfers. I never had to wait to hit and never held anyone up that was behind me. I took my time and hit two balls on many of the holes. I finished the round in 3 hrs.😎

Some of the greens were a bit spotty, but still rolled fairly true. Very fun day!

Breathtaking views

Course condition was excellent. I was a single as my pairings didn’t show. This gave my wife and I time to slow down and take in the views. Shot well (81) for my first time at the course. The layout is nice. A couple holes though could be better marked/directed. Highly recommend and will play again.

We play the Dunes whenever we visit Maui, The course has a great layout almost nothing is straight of flat. Course maintenance is 9/10.

Beautiful Challenging Unique Course

Easy check-in, great course layout, and beautiful greens. Pace was very good. The bathrooms on course need some fixing up and not having any amenities on course while playing is a bummer. But the pace was perfect and the course was fun and challenging. Will definitely be playing this course again.

Course is in great shape with a great layout. Challenging but fair! It took 4.5 hrs to play - a little too slow as we waited every shot after the 7th hole. No cart person to buy refreshments from on course. Well worth the price we paid though!! We have booked again already!!
