Manatee Golf Course

course was closed when we got there, no one answered the phone. I surmised it was too wet from overnight rain. no text. no call

Live in Mass, come down 8-10 weeks a year spring and fall,usually play 4-6 times each trip, Manatee may not be Augusta , but I always enjoy playing here, and the unexpected visits from various wildlife including the family of raccoons on 13th tee

Only real complaint is that the greens were top dressed which really isn’t ideal for play.

One of the better public golf courses in this area.

With the much needed recent rains the course conditions are much improved tee to green. Alas, the greens were very recently aerated and heavil: so they were not running true and were very slow as one would expect with large, sand -filled holes on the greens. But they should soon recover and they will be fine. The sand in the bunkers is fairly consistent. The pace of play was quick at 1 hour and 15 minutes per nine for my twosome. The staff are always friendly and the course layout is challenging with plenty of penalty areas and narrow fairways (Par 5s) to punish errant shots. The course offers great values especially with GolfNow on non-peak golf hours. I highly recommend this nice municipal golf course.

Overall, the course is in very good shape for this time of year. It was very hot after 3:00pm and that caused us to plat on 9 holes instead of 18. Staff was very polite from check in to check out. Had a fun time playing this course.

Reserved a 7:00 am tee time and showed up at 6:40, the starter let 10 guys go on my spot and then switched me to back nine start where the other starter let 2 foursomes through. Finally hit first drive at 7:35. Not a bad course itself

We got rained on by the time we reached the 10th hole, the pro said they don't give rain checks to people that pay on the golf now app. Your app doesn't have any place to get a rain check.
