Links of Sandpiper

Overall atmosphere is relaxing and fun. The bar at the clubhouse is pleasant enough that my wife and I make trips there without golfing. Course is challenging enough and you can tell the grounds are well maintained. A+

The cost was surprising good. 40 dollars for a weekend play. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We got in the first tee box and they are in ok condition. After our drives we went out to the fairways. Yes they are a little rough. However still very playable. I am not a competitive golfer but just love to go out and whack the ball around for a bit. That being said, it left some tough shots out of the fairway. The greens were in really good shape. And difficult. Many times we were putting uphill and they were just slower than normal. Made it hard to gauge. The layout is weird where you are crossing in front of the entire tee box to go to your next whole (17 comes to mind) so it can get awkward. While there one of my friends hit a hole in one on the par 3 18th hole. It was great. Highlight of the day. Until I had the burger. Man it was a great burger. Plus being allergic to wheat, they had a gluten free bun. I will stop by sometime just for dinner it was that good. All in all for the price, the value is worth it. If you are a super serious golfer, you may get annoyed but the course is fun and challenging at the same time.

It has been a rough summer with heat and watering restrictions. So, fairways are sparce in areas and greens are not perfect. Still, it is worth playing.

The back 9 has some difficult holes where it helps to have played the course a few times to know where to hit your shots.

There are a lot of elevation changes; not a flat course. For me, this challenging and makes me focus. It will point out weaknesses in your game for sure.

If I got a penny for all the weeds I'd retire very wealthy. The course has been neglected since the owner has built so many new homes on the property. Cart paths need repair along with many washed out areas. Seems the new homes have overtaken priority. Such a shame!

Front 9 is a lot of fun, back 9 has too many overlapping holes. Leads to confusion and feeling rushed.

This course was a surprise for me, as this was my first time playing. The holes were very interesting and I enjoyed playing them. The pace was slow, as I played alone, but had to wait on foursomes in front of me, including one group that only had three sets of clubs. Overall I had a good time and look forward to going back again.

Greens need attention and the fairways are full of weeds. The course has potential to be really nice but as of right now the maintenance or lack of money for maintenance is showing.

Green are getting patchy but overall the course played great

A great track with some hidden gems and traps. Never let your guard down.

Fairway and rough lack very much grass which can be attributed to very little if any rain. Greens are in decent shape and fast.

A great shorter course with a mean set of closing holes that makes you think. Tough, fun and well worth it.

I have a bad habit of playing to the level of my fellow players. That works okay when playing with folks who are having a good day. Not so much when you play with a couple of folks who are having a bad day and decide the solution is to add beer.

If things are already a bit out of control with your swing, it just doesn't make sense to me. They were nice enough, and made their mistakes while keeping up with our position, but...in the four previous times I've played here I've never played in a group that hit into the houses along the course. There were at least 4 balls during the round (no evidence of any damage, but no real search for those either).

As my wife tells me...I've got to learn to play my game and pay no attention to what the others in my group are doing (beyond keeping an eye on where the ball has gone). Maybe one day I will reach that sublime state.
