Awesome short course
This was my first time playing this course and it didn’t disappoint, but it certainly did surprise. From the first hole this course was a challenge of knowing where to play to. Water is seemingly everywhere on this course and when it wasn’t water it was sand. It is loaded with par threes and feels very get able but wasn’t. Greens were good, not really fast but rolled well. Fairways were nice, even though I was not in them much. I liked it so much I stayed for lunch and another round
. Definitely will be back. Only real negative was it is a bit of a hike from Orlando.
Good times
Hands down one of the best maintained courses in the area. Champagne conditions on a Budweiser budget. Not long, but fun and challenging to hit your distances well.
Great day
Found this place by accident, but what a happy accident. Not overly challenging course except it challenges you to hit the best ball you can. And as good as the course looks, which is excellent, the staff and value are even better than the playing conditions.
Great Place
Couldn’t have been happier with the experience, staff was friendly, course was in great shape, pace of play was quick, layout was challenging (bring extra balls), and the price was right. What else could you as for, we will definitely be back
Horrible experience
I booked a tee time for 1:30pm on Saturday 6/27 as a solo player. I checked in at the pro shop and the starter told me to proceed to the first tee box. As I already had my driver, tee, and ball in hand walking up to the 1st tee box, the driver pulled up and asked me to start on the back 9 instead as there was a “tournament still happening” and they needed to me start on 10. I looked out to see absolutely no one on 1 and I walked back to my cart and proceeded to 10. I played through 10 only to run into 3 groups stacked up on hole 11. I knew i was going to be waiting a solid amount of time and knew I wasn’t going to be able to pass either. Because the starter asked me to start on the back 9, I ran into a stall and it turned out to be a horrible long experience when there was absolutely no one on the first hole. I returned to the pro shop and told them what happened and asked for a refund and the lady said the best they could do was a rain check. I drove 2 hours to the course and will absolutely never do that again and never recommend anyone to play this course. What a horribly frustrating experience.
Great Little Gem
Par is only 66 but its not a short gimmicky executive course. Only hole I didn't like was number one. Everyone there was happy to have us and were as friendly as possible. Conditions were excellent. I would normally be reluctant to play a par 66 course, but will be happy to return there in the future.
Great Course
The staff was extremely friendly and the course was in great shape.
Solid
Always enjoy this course, fun, layout, and tricky, despite its short length. Lots of water to find so bring extra balls. Only complaint is greens were punched within the last few weeks and were a little bumpy and slower than the other times. I’ve played out here, I can’t wait to get back out when they are returned to their former, smooth conditions
Enjoyable Course
You would think that with a par 66 course that it would be easy. Not a lot of sand traps but water hazards everywhere. Overall, an enjoyable course and challenging course. There is a par 3 and par 4 that you have to stick the green or you risk going in the water on three sides.
Great Course
As Always fun to play. We play there at least 8 times a year. We hop around depending on tee times. The just punched the greens, but still played pretty good. My buddy Jim and I were paired up at 7;30 am with another two some. There names were Jim and Jim . So it was Jim,Jim,Jim and Ryan . LOL go figure. Laughed alot . Great couse
First time playing here
We were on a family trip and booked a round at Crane Lakes. The woman checking us in was super friendly, and so was the starter who made a great recommendation to play the white tees. Exceptionally challenging even as short as the course is. My only complaint was that we played 11 holes in two hours and asked to play faster because it was getting backed up….seriously….
If you are going to ask someone to play faster than that because the “locals” play fast…go private, don’t invite public golfers. We finished the round in three hours flat and felt rushed. I will say we were asked to speed up in the friendliest way possible but still absurd to ask someone to play that fast on a Sunday morning. Only play here if you expect to play speed golf.
Challenging but Fair
Enjoyed the layout but recent green airation made it more challenging
Will be back for sure!
Fun course
Fun course, like the layout and unusual design and a very cute neighborhood and everybody was very friendly. Only problem was we had a group in front of us who were painfully slow and finally were told to stand up as they had probably 3 to 4 holes open in front of them, but other than that, it was a lot of fun and afterwards we went into the clubhouse and met some of the locals and they were great people. Very welcoming.
Great
My wife and I played this course on our way to another city on a golf trip and thoroughly enjoyed. We went into the clubhouse after the round and everyone was very friendly and accommodating. What a great neighborhood.
Short with water
Didn’t realize that the course was so short. And that much water. It was an interesting layout. Had to play it forward to carry the water. Bring lots of balls! Glad I played it but once was enough. The homes along the course were well maintained as was the landscaping. Thought it was a little overpriced. I wouldn’t tell anyone not to play it but would let them know what to expect.
