The Club at Venetian Bay

Everything was perfect; the best course in this area to play a round of golf. Only Pebble Beach golf courses and golf course my son and I played in Cancun.

Overall, the course is in pretty good condition besides standing water in many sand traps and a few mushy low spots. Pace of play was good but our cart died on #12 and it took a half hour to get a replacement mostly because nobody would answer the phone in the clubhouse.

It feels like the course is out of money. They do not have any sand. There are no ball washers. Weeds are taking over. The TWO water coolers have mildew around nozzles. The carts are barely being cleaned, this is happening all over the county. Many sand traps are holding green slimy water. The greens need attention.

Had some friends who won a 4some to this course so we bought another 4some to play with them. Everyone was friendly including the proshop employee and the starter. The course had a heavy rain recently so there was standing water in some bunkers but besides that it was phenomenal for the money. The greens rolled as true as possible. I had 5 birdies so no complaints from me! Look forward to coming back. We drove 1.5 hours to play and it was worth every bit.

I play this course regularly and the staff are the best! The layout is challenging but not overbearing. Fairways and greens are well kept. The only criticism is that the bunders are not well kept and many had pools of water despite no rain in the 48 hours before I played. Still, I highly recommend.

The greens are being aerated so they’re slow and sandy.

Good layout, challenging but with opportunities to score. Greens somewhat inconsistent, but overall pretty good.

I was surprised to find the very good conditions of the course. It has greatly improved since the last time I played there, which was probably 4-6 months ago. Some of the bunkers still have standing water but the rest of the course was great.

Greenside bunkers are all full of water. Almost all of them. I asked at the pro shop and they said they're "in need of a bunker ren-o. You got a spare half a million on you?" Didn't seem like there was a fix in the near future. They told me "a lot of Florida courses have this issue." Front nine greens were fine, back nine were just ok but worse than the front. I'd opt for other courses at the moment until they get their stuff back together at Venetian Bay.

This was my second time playing Venetian Bay, the course was is much better condition this time. The staff and pro are so nice, friendly, and helpful. We will be back, 🏌️‍♀️

We met Renee and Duane on the 1st tee what great people they are! The course was in good shape but bunkers were full of water( I know stay out of the bunkers lol).we had lunch inside and it was very good.We will be back!

What a great club, greens were smooth and very consistent, and the fairways had excellent grass after a hard winter. staff is always fantastic and the restraunt food was outstanding. The layout , conditions and staff were a plus.

First tee lined up with players, slow play all day. Driving range closed but had a small dirt patch to the side to practice a little if there weren’t people packed into it

Something needs to be done about drainage of bunkers. It doesnt even take a lot of rain to fill most of the bunkers with water. Why is that an issue? Because you hit your ball into them and then you can't find it. It happened to me 3 times. That is unacceptable. I have plenty of golf balls, but losing a perfectly good ProV1 when this happens just takes away the fun. Oh, the greens arent very smooth either.
