Spruce Creek Country Club

Good layout, pretty course, but greens need a lot of help.

They just aerated the greens about 2 weeks before I played there. The course and the greens are in decent shape even with aeration work. I’d say they did a great job!

I’ve been playing this course for years and it’s always been in great shape but the conditions are slipping. Most of the tee boxes are in bad shape and the fairways aren’t what they used to be. Great layout with the planes coming in and out but for the price they’re asking, better courses are nearby.

Course has let its greens go downhill. Very warn and many bare spots. They rolled OK but not what is expected for the prices they charge. Previous conditions were much better that what they are now.

Some of the greens were in poor condition and were very slow. The rest of the course was in great shape. The staff was friendly and helpful. Will play again

Some of the greens were 30 - 40% sand with no grass to putt on. Many of the tees were all dirt also.

Worst shape I’ve ever played this course. Unfortunately just not worth playing. Not sure I’d pay $25 to play. Dirt everywhere on boxes, fairways and greens.

Staff was mostly attentive, met me in the parking lot with a cart, nice touch! , bev cart was great, pro shop efficient, starter didn’t have much to say, didn’t ask if we played here before, give us any tips etc. Mo rangers on the course that we saw on a very slow day of play. Practice range was on mats which was fortelling of the tee boxes all day( sand boxes). They need help. Greens mostly very good especially considering recent drought conditions. All in all it was good not great. Priced a bit steep for the experience compared to other area courses.

Like the layout. But that was the only positive. Greens were horrible. Tee boxes terrible. Fairways were DRY and hard as a rock. The sand traps were a pleasant surprise. We won’t return.

Overall nice course. Some of the greens had little spider looking green patches. Still a nice course though.

I must report that we received "Mixed Vibes" from staff members. The cashier said directly, "I do not care for GolfNow members". The starter, however, was very friendly and showed us where to get some water, ice, and cups. This venue is a good one, but, as always, the people employed can "make or break" the experience.

Staff was totally rude . He acted like I was beneath him with me buying round for a lower price. Set for 45 minutes with no one teeing off. Paired us with a couple. After 3 holes we were holding up a threesum. Will not go back.
