About
Gillette Ridge Golf Club in Bloomfield, just outside of Hartford, is an Arnold Palmer Signature course. It is one of the toughest rounds in all of New England. The course sprawls across a beautiful landscape covered with natural wetlands and forests of towering maples, oaks, and elm trees. There are strategically placed bunkers in addition to the natural challenges but they are not excessive. The wetlands come into play on almost half of the holes at Gillette Ridge Golf Club. The approaches to the greens are seemingly intimidating but as long as you don't hit short there is always bailout area on one side. Since each hole presents a unique challenge, there is not just one signature hole, but one of the most memorable holes is the par-5 second, a true risk-reward test that requires both length and accuracy.

Great course and in good shape!
Love the course, fhe challenging of it. The staff always friendly and accommodating. Can't wait to play it again!
Tough but fun!!
Staff very friendly and helpful. Course is always in condition. We enjoyed playing here even though there are several very challenging holes for us seniors.
They are running a beer on tap special. Pay what you shot for the round, $.92 for me.
Highly recommend this course.
Great Track
Technically challenging where you have to hit your marks, but also open where you aren’t losing a lot of balls. The course was in great condition.
Great Course layout - some VERY challenging holes!
We love this course, though is usually kicks our butts! Many lengthy carries throughout the round. We played a bit further back this time, a 130 rating was a bit much. We are older and will move back to the White tees next round!
Great course in excellent condition especially considering the weather. It had rained all morning but the course held up! Pace of play was excellent because we were the only ones stupid enough to tee off in a monsoon. Staff was excellent as well.

Fun challenging course alot of fun staff friendly greens are tricky
Slow play
Unfortunately there was slow play as there was a tournament going on. This made play very slow. Staff allowed us a 9 hole rain check as the round would have taken over 5 hours. Great, challenging place to play!
Great course
Great spring days spent at Gillette Ridge. This layout is always challenging and fun. They could use a little help with their sand traps, but that seems to be New England issue. I would recommend those course.
