The 5th. Par-4, 333. Classic drive-and-pitch hole, reflecting the links flavor of many Wintonbury holes. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/14/2021

7th. Par-3, 255. As seen from tee eight, a threesome engaged in play around the green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/14/2021

11. Par-4, 433. A brute that takes no prisoners, and straight uphill from tee to green. Well, you can enjoy the fall scenery, anyway. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/14/2021

The twelfth, a downhill par-3 of 168, gives you a slight breather on a back nine that supplies little respite. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/14/2021

Henry sets up for his tee shot at 14. An avid and fine golfer, he hit it down the middle on this hauntingly beautiful golf hole. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/14/2021

Five is a short but strategic four-par of 333. Beautiful vistas abound on this course. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/28/2020

The downhill 7th, a three-par of 255. Dye believed that long three-pars were the only holes to induce low-handicappers to hit long irons. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/28/2020

The Reverse Redan 9th, a 190-yard par-three, features a well-fortified green complex. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/28/2020

Great track in great shape!
Title says it all! Go play and see for yourself 😊
Beautiful Day
Went to play spur of the moment and couldn't have been more pleased. Vibrant green rolling fairways and tricky greens. Staff was awesome! Will be back.
Marshall?
Course and staff are excellent.
It was busy enough for a marshall and beverage cart, neither one was around.
Is pace of play able to be monitored by the cart's tech?
The group ahead of us was off the pace and nobody moved them along.
We also, while waiting to hit to the green on 15, we're hit into by the group behind us, for zero reason we literally were waiting for them to clear, we were addressing our balls and they could see all of it but hit anyway.
Disappointed but love the course.
As good as it gets.
I look forward to opportunities to play Wintonbury. What a great course. Impeccable routing and constant variation. You get to use every club in your bag a couple of times. So much fun. I’m a high handicapped, and frankly bad golfer and I like to walk courses and Wintonbury is easy to walk and overall a ton of fun. Can’t wait to go back!
Outstanding Golf!
Staff, course and round is always great. Top notch highly rated walkable course with different looks and challenges. Drive the ball well and you can score. Be prepared for wind. love playing here. Only suggestion is open the restaurant early. golfers love a breakfast sandwich and coffee. Last few lunches were average. Time to upgrade the restaurant. If not get a food truck as an option
Price
Over all the course is nice but in this economy the price for the round was high. $100 for round and $21 for the cart. Public course ?????
Great Course
After just one round, this has already become my favorite public course in the state. The layout and overall experience were fantastic, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The only area that could use improvement is the restrooms, which are a bit outdated. Also, if you plan on using the driving range, I recommend driving over rather than walking — it’s visible from the parking lot but farther than it looks.
Two minor issues
In general the course was in very good shape, but there were a lot of ball marks on the greens. I don't know if it was from a recent tournament but people need to fix their ball marks. We also had a very slow foursome in front of us who had a whole hole pus open in front of them. We finally skipped a hole after coming up on them still at the tenth tee. Otherwise the pace was good.
It’s a favorite of ours
Always a fun round, it was car path only and there are some hills. But I recommend the course to anyone.
