Stonewall Orchard Golf Club

My group was moving at a normal pace. On the 4th hole we could not locate one of our balls in the heavy roof. We all watched it land but we could not locate it. By the time we found it and finished out the hole our cart said we went from on time to 9 minutes behind. We played the 5th hole quick, three pars and one bogey. We all hit the green. On our way to the 6th hole the marshall asked us to speed up. No one was behind us waiting on us. We played the 6th hole quick and our carts said we were now behind by 6 minutes. When we got to the 7th tee we could see the group infront of us walking up to the 7th green. We could see the marshall sitting in his cart on the cart path. We all hit our tee shots. As we drove up the fairway the Marshall pulled up to us and asked us to hurry up we were behind. I told him we are only 1 stroke behind the group in front of us. He replied that they were behind as well. I then told him if he wants us to hurry up then maybe help by marking peoples balls that land in the rough since two of ours landed in his area instead of just sitting there watching us look around for them in the rough. I love this course but I will think twice about returning if I'm going to be harrassed by a Marshall who doesn't want to help.

This course boasts about being a premier course in Northern Illinois. There's nothing premier about it. For a course that charges $100 per round, you would think it would be immaculate. I've played Forest Preserve courses in better condition.

Played right after a rainy weekend, so everything was really wet and cart path only. Course was beautiful though. Greens, tee boxes and fairways in great shape.

Pricey but a great course to at least try once. Course well maintained and difficult but manageable.

We played here on a Saturday afternoon, place was awesome. Tougher than most but still hit my average score. Couple holes are long and over the marsh/water that are not the easiest to carry.

I highly recommend Stonewall Orchard Golf Club! It is a very fair and enjoyable golf course to play. The staff is outstanding as well!

First time playing Stonewall. Unfortunately, it started raining at the very start and by the time I finished 18 holes, I was playing in a steady rain. But, this didn't dampen my experience that much. I will definitely play this course again, hopefully when it's dry. Challenging, but not to the point where you can't score. Wide fairways, but if you go too far to the sides of the fairway, you get into 3 inch rough grass. Course was in great shape. A little pricier that your average course in the area, but still worth the experience.

This course is awesome! The service from the moment you leave your car in the parking lot is top notch. The starter was very kind and gave us all the tricks of the trade. The course played very well and the greens were in great condition. I would absolutely go back for another round!

Stonewall is certainly one of the top public golf courses in the northwest suburbs. From the moment you step out of your vehicle you’re treated like a member. Beautiful clubhouse and incredible course. Holes are challenging but playable from various sets of tees. Greens, bunkers, tees and fairways are pampered and true. Played on a Tuesday afternoon in less than 3 hours.

Highly recommended for an ultimate of golfing experience!

Course was great beautiful very well maintained but I was there on a Monday and the kitchen must have been closed couldn’t even get a dog. Also the cart path only with the carts can be annoying with the layout of the course. Everything else was great.

This course is one of my favorite golf courses to play. If you get the opportunity, play it.

I had one of the first teetimes, so I’m not so sure if my review of the pace of play is true.
