Crane Watch Club

Good course we have played multiple times and enjoy. Management is not always customer friendly. We had a rain check after thunderstorms moved in unexpectedly. We quit after playing 2 holes and got a rain check. The pro shop wanted to prorate the rain check for the two holes we played but did eventually give us a full round. I’m tired of the work on 17/18 and one other hole on the back 9 and would like to see the junk cleaned up.

Great course. Nice challenging layout and great staff. My first time playing there. The random couple I got paired up with were very nice. Only thing I will say is some of the golfers there are snobs. They got mad at us for “yapping” on the tee box when they were putting on 18. Guy tossed his club at his golf cart. I didn’t even notice they were there. The holes are really close to each other. Something to be mindful of. That was different for me. But they didn’t have to be nasty.

Guys, had the opportunity to play Crane Watch again. The course continues to get updates with maintenance around 12-13 holes, Greens being moved. The course is a nice value for the bang. I will play Crane Watch again, with friends,

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The pace was a little slow as the round took 4 1/2 hours. The course was fine and we did have a great time.

There were no Marshalls to maintain pace of play extremely slow. We play two other municipal courses that were in much better shape

i played this course because my normal goto courses were not available for the date and time and group size that i was looking for.

on the positives, the greens were extremely fast which i love. they are also relatively straight (on the front 9 anyway) meaning that you can go right after putts so long as you don't knock them by. tee boxes, fairways and greens were in pretty good shape, but there's lots of work going on at the course moving tee boxes and creating new greens.

the layout is a little odd in that the "middle" tees are about 5800 yards in total, but there are a couple of par 4s that were close to or more than 400 yards, and the back 9 is about 300 yards shorter than the front.

pace of play "seemed" slow as we waited on almost every hole to tee off, but we still finished the round in about 4 hours so we weren't really slowed up that much--it just felt that way.

all in all, my best way to describe this course is a nicer, longer savanna club. if you live in the neighborhood or really close i can see why you'd play here.

Great golf course for a daily fee course. Friendly staff, above average golf course conditions; tee box/ fairways/greens were all in decent condition, considering our recent weather in South Florida. I would recommend playing the course.

Slow pace of play 6 hours and tornado hit all of a sudden and rain check sucked. Greens patchy. They were much better staffed and friendly with a better pace of play with better greens 2 months ago. What happens.?

First off, we got there early and went to the clubhouse right away to sign in. The guy tells us it's $50 for each rental. We rented two sets. Then he tells us it's the last two sets, but I'm not worried because it's $50 bucks must be a good set. We go outside for a cart, and they give us two mismatched sets. Total junk, everything is in there, looks like clubs players discarded or left on the course. The set and the bags are total junk, but we try to play anyway. Get to the first hole; again, we are early. Some guy and his foursome cut in front of us, and the starter told us like 10 minutes late. They tee off and play like crap in front of us all day. slow as molasses. lining up every putt, taking forever to get off the tee box. Rangers do nothing. The course is beat up. tee boxes shot greens super slow fairways are a mess. No rangefinders on the carts, no water, all of the bathrooms (2) are locked, no way to get in. Golf somewhere else and save your money. This place sucks.

Course doesn't have enough carts. Both times I've played here there were no carts available. This time it caused us to tee off 15 minutes late. Course ha nice layout but conditions are hit or miss. A few tees are good, others mostly dirt. Same with fairways. If you don't mind rolling your ball if you land in a bare spot then it's fine. Greens were a good speed but weren't always the thickest or smooth.

I know it’s still early in the year, but there were a lot of small bare spots, especially around the greens. It seems they are doing a lot of work on the course. Layout was good, but still not worth the money, especially for a weekday round.
