This is a 36-hole city-owned operation that features one of Austin's best muni tracks, the Roy Kizer Golf Course, which complements the 1970s Jimmy Clay layout.
Austin's old water treatment facility was transformed by Randy Russell, who had more than 80 acres of lakes and marshland at his disposal when he laid out the 200-acre site. Russell's links-style design is flat, burdened by the wind, and loaded with bunkers. The toughest par is No. 11, which rolls 468 yards into the wind and is shamefully listed as a par 4. Take your bogey on No. 11.

Overpriced, Messy, Overbooked
Terrible course loaded down with walkers and untucked tshirts. They squeeze every single person they can on this course so you will be suffering through a snails pace round. Pretty much impossible to get a pace or momentum. I paid $60 and change for this atrocity. Tee’d off hole 1 at 1:21p on a Wednesday and had to finally call it quits on hole 13 to make a 7p dinner reservation. Highly regret wasting my time, money and gas choosing this course. Also, this is a typical Austin move but for what it’s worth they don’t support US Veterans here either. Roy and Jimmy or dookie tracks and for the non serious golfers. If you hit straight play elsewhere. Miserable course, management and play.
Great Greens, Convenient Range, Worth Playing!
I was pleasantly surprised by how nice this course turned out to be. The layout is solid, and I really liked that the driving range is right next to the first tee which makes it easy to get loose before the round. The greens were in great shape and rolled true, definitely a highlight of the course. My only knock would be the tee boxes, which could use a little attention compared to the rest of the course. Overall though, it’s a fun track and well worth playing
There course looked like it had been infested with weeds. Around the green there was just a lot of weeds. Definitely got in the way a lot and was not fun to deal with. Hope they fix the issue asap.
Great Course
I have played the golf course over 250 times I really enjoy the layout and the course was good the only problem I had is with the greens they were very slow they had not been cut in 3 days probably and all the guys in my group had the same thing to say they were just way too slow and what happened to the water in holes number two and seven and other than that the experience was good thank you
