Two long par 4s (15 & 16) make for a meaty finish. Photo submitted by BrandonTuckerGA on 06/12/2017
It's Riverside, Not Anything Special
I like playing at Riverside, you know what you're getting into and it is cheaper than most places. The course is what it is in the spring, but it is the right amount of challenge for my below average golf game.
Trip to Florida
Course was in decent condition. The greens were well maintained. Pace of play was very good.
A nice reminder not to bother wasting your money on a round here
You can hit in the middle of the fairway, but you will still be hitting off of hard-packed dirt, or the occasional mud pit of course. Good luck finding any grass to hit out of - rough, fairway, tee box...doesn't matter. Even the foot wedge can't save you in this God-forsaken wasteland of a course. Greens are pitted or have sand bunkers of their own which is fun to navigate while putting for some I suppose. Half the cost of private courses at 40 bucks each is nice, as long as you don't expect to play any real golf. With the layout and average player attending I also think I heard "Fore" more times in one round than the last couple years combined. If you're balling on a budget and choose to whack at some dirt here, look alive and God speed.
Fairways grass (Brown) winter dormant . Tee boxes are being resod, some areas are uneven.
Greens are in good cofition.
Nice layout
Layout nice. Fairways are marginal right now. Lots of bare spots and grass is dead in spots. Will probably improve after recovering from the recent bad weather. Greens in good shape.
Staff always friendly and efficient.
Don’t expect much
This course is like playing golf in a public park. Random different types of grass and dirty all over the place. They can’t be watering this place. Tiny greens but I will say generally the greens didn’t look bad.
Fairways & Greens good shape . Pace of play after 12 th hole tends to bog down.
The course was nice
The staff was AMAZING!!! I would recommend to all my friends and definitely play there again!!
Poor maintenance! Overall not a good experience :(
This golf course is in bad shape. I didn’t enjoy playing here and wouldn’t recommend anyone either.
Great Course at a Great Price
Course is well maintained, open greens. Features such as a beverage/snack cart and a club restaurant that will deliver to you on the course are nice touches you don’t expect at the price point. My only critique Is that the course isn’t registered with the Texas GHIN so players have no way to track their handicap in an official capacity.
Pace of play
Pace of play was terrible. Group in front of my group was 2 holes behind and no marshal around to over see coure. Same group in front of mine would drag there feet, thro the pin around on green like a spear and no one to manage the groups golf edicate.
