The Golf Club at Texas A&M

Happy to report that the course was in good condition. I played from the whites, about 6000 yds. Challenging enough. Was able to record my score and brought down my handicap by .2pts. I recommend this course. Go Aggies!!

It's summer conditions, hot and muggy. So take plenty of water for your round. The grounds keepers are doing good work. #3 and #12 are being rejuvenated. Greens are fast and true. A nice challenge to players of different abilities. Stay away from the rough, or be ready to drop a ball. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Set up for summer conditions. With all the rain from last week surprisingly good shape. Fairways were lakes and streams Tuesday. Stay out of the rough, it's long and overgrown. Just drop a ball and move, nobody behind you cares about your lost effort. #3 and #12 are being worked on give the sod a hance to grow in. Greens are fast and true. Staff are super helpful.

Love Texas A&M and have played this course on and off the last 40 years.

We enjoyed the course because its on campus and for the money it was a good round.

However, the "smart" golf carts were very annoying and frankly would nearly keep me from coming back. Why? Constantly making a dinging sound. "Avoid this, don't go there, playing too slow" (even though there was nobody behind us for several holes. There was also a few times it would lose power when we are actually on the correct cart path going in the right direction. Very slow as well. One time it just shut down moving forward, again, while on the cart path. Had to back up until it seemed to re-engage so we could move forward.

A golf course (IMO) should be a place to escape that kind of control. Just frustrating.

If we play there again, we will probably walk next round in the fall or spring when its cooler..

The summer heat is a factor. Have a way to stay hydrated, very important. The course is in great shape. Holes 3 and 12 are under repair, but should be done soon. The greens are fast yet true. Compliments to staff for their efforts. Enjoy your next round.

Pace of play was slow at first due to the high volume of players but got back to normal by the back nine.

Always happy to get out and play. Improvements are being made to the #3, #12 holes. The rough could be trimmed a bit and would speed up play. To many people looking for balls. Face it folks, if you get off track just drop and move on. It's a golf ball and your not on tour. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Greens are fast but true. Get out and enjoy your round.

Surprised that the Clubhouse and bathrooms are so old and rundown. Should have upgraded the Clubhouse when they redesigned the course 10 years ago.

The course is in awful condition, especially for the price. The majority of the bunkers were water hazards as the course lacks proper irrigation. Many of the fairways had extensive damage with bare ground and rocks clearly visible. On top of this, the staff refuses to manage the golfers on the course and takes a hands off approach to complaints. We had issues with other golfers picking up our golf balls that were on the hole we were playing while they searched for their own from a different hole. Multiple complaints to the clubhouse about the pace of play of a singular group and they did nothing to fix the issue. We had to wait at least 5 minutes every shot and were nearly an hour behind schedule due to one group.

Hands down the worst experience that I have had on a course. I would not recommend it to anyone, especially with their rates. I have played state parks with better conditions, staff, and responses to issues on the course.
