Needs new Clubhouse
Surprised that the Clubhouse and bathrooms are so old and rundown. Should have upgraded the Clubhouse when they redesigned the course 10 years ago.
Greens were the only good thing about the course.
The course is in awful condition, especially for the price. The majority of the bunkers were water hazards as the course lacks proper irrigation. Many of the fairways had extensive damage with bare ground and rocks clearly visible. On top of this, the staff refuses to manage the golfers on the course and takes a hands off approach to complaints. We had issues with other golfers picking up our golf balls that were on the hole we were playing while they searched for their own from a different hole. Multiple complaints to the clubhouse about the pace of play of a singular group and they did nothing to fix the issue. We had to wait at least 5 minutes every shot and were nearly an hour behind schedule due to one group.
Hands down the worst experience that I have had on a course. I would not recommend it to anyone, especially with their rates. I have played state parks with better conditions, staff, and responses to issues on the course.
Greens are nice to play
Several bare spots and lack of good irrigation.
Greens are in good condition and are firm.
After rains
The rain has been wonderful for the course. Greening up and fast greens. The cart path only restrictions on holes 2, 3 and 12 are a not warranted. Clogs up play and presents a hazard. Players hit to cart path. After being hit by an errant shot, let me remind you IT HURTS! The greens are fast yet true. Staff tend to needs very well. Always enjoy getting out and should be played. Avoid being hit by balls and tolerate the duffers who can't hit it past the ladies tee but wait for the green to clear.
Spring golf
The course is much improved. Gone are the wholly overgrown waste lands. The greens fast and smooth. The guys who have to wait for the green to clear before not making the women's tee, well they should play their home course. Young or old we've all seen them. Sorry but your not the guys on TV.. looking forward to next round. Bring your friends and enjoy. Staff will tend to your needs, they are great.
Cloudy
Mostly cloudy and windy day proved to be perfect for the course and the challenge. I found no downside to the course and am looking forward to my next trip.
After freeze
This was my first opportunity to play the course since the freeze. After the greens being under tarps for the better part of a week. Fast and with a little more break. The fairways are still dormant, but one can golf in the middle of February. With all the work of the maintenance crew to get control on the overgrowth it is a noticeable improvement. Great job guys! Staff are friendly and helpful. Looking forward to the next outing. Tell your friends.
Don't let this course fool you. It is very challenging, especially if the wind is blowing, which is often. Really good greens, and they can be fast.
Good to go
Course still in great shape and majority green in great condition.
Worth playing over all other local options
Could be cheaper per round and practice balls but course made up for it.
Rude staff
Ladies in the front are very rude as well as Nate Uber and the older guy that’s the “Manager”. They don’t get the basic concept that i’m not sitting in a cart with someone i don’t know & i’m sure most people are uncomfortable with that idea. Never have i had to anywhere else either. I don’t see that in y’alls rules. If they don’t have enough carts that’s really not my problem thats a y’alls problem. Maybe if y’all would be respectful people would actually enjoy coming here. Definition of stuck up. It’s great to come in and that’s immediately what you have to deal with
On the other hand the starter is a great guy and very understanding.
Summer heat
The dog days of summer. Take a water jug along. Keep the ball in the fairway as you'll have time to watch the groups ahead looking for balls. Take an extra ball along so if you lose yours in the rough play can continue. Please! The greens are fast and true. A good course for a skill levels.
