About

The Carlton Gipson-redesigned Moody Gardens Golf Course is one of the most difficult tracks in Texas, universally considered one of the top five municipals in the state. The Gulf winds pound the course and water comes into play on every hole. Even from the regular tees, the route rolls 6,816 yards, so short knockers are truly at a disadvantage.

Getting there : From I-45 south, exit 61st St. and turn right. Find Stewart and turn right, then turn right again on 99th Street. Drive to Sydnor Ln. and turn right-you'll see the entrance on the right side of the road.

Great course on Gulf Coast

Course was in really good condition, great mixture of holes that were challenging to play. We really enjoyed our game at Moody Gardens and would have no hesitation in recommending the course to any one looking for a course in the Galveston area.

Get away round

From checking in to the on course team I was greeted with a warm welcome and treated me as if I was a member. Front nine is straightforward but the wind was brutal. The Back nine was very challenging and not a lot of trees on the course the water on both sides made you stay in the fairway. I will like to sneak out for another round some day.

Phenomenal Outting

We came down for vacation and being avid golfers wanted to see if MG lived up to the reviews. This course did not disappoint….it started as soon as we arrived and entered the pro shop. Very professional and attentive staff, outstanding practice and range facility. We then positioned ourselves to start the days round, the Marshall was very friendly and chatted about the course, rules, pace of play and even general topics. We were teamed up with a couple gentleman from out of town on vacation as well. The course was gorgeous and in very well maintained condition, lush fairways, like hitting pillows. Greens were fast and challenging to read, the water hazards come into play for the new players as well as the seasoned golfer. Overall we throughly enjoyed the experience and will be booking again on our return. Thank you for a wonderful golf outing, n of the highlights of the trip.

Such a beautiful course. Fairways and greens are in top shape. Challenging but rewarding course

I recommend this place to all golfers.

If I could make one change I would change to color of the flags as they blend in with the background and are sometimes hard to pick up .
