Harvard Gulch Golf Course

This an excellent, fun par 3 course. It is extremely popular and it can be difficult getting a tee time. No cart paths or carts - you must walk. There are short distances between greens & tees and it is an easy walk. It is a very laid-back course. You see many groups with their own coolers and some playing barefoot. You can bring your own drinks as long as it is not in glass bottles. The course serves no alcohol.

Most of the holes are framed by trees on both sides. The yardages on the holes range from 65 to 130 yards. Only the 2nd hole has water that comes into play.

When you putt on the practice green, it looks like the greens are a bit fuzzy. However, they are firm and are fast.

There is a mat on each tee box to save the tees from getting too beat up. You can decide to use the mat or hit off the grass. The closely mowed areas in front of the greens are better than most golf course fairways. The greens are in great shape. You would think with the short yardages, the greens would be marked up with ball marks but they are not. The greens are on the small side.

The reason I give this course a 4 star rating is because on holes 4 & 8, you cannot hit your shot directly at the pin without hitting a tree. Some tree trimming needs to be done. The limbs on Hole 9 are very close to having the same situation. The pace of play was awful too. Waited nearly 3-5 minutes on each tee box.

Great course to break away from the office and catch a quick game of golf. I went with a co-worker and we were in and out in an hour. We will definitely be back.

Longest hole was 130 yds - most averaged in the 90 yd range. Nice, tight little course - probably only need 3...maybe 4 clubs. Our only issue was the price; we can play 18 holes on a par 72 for less money. Rate of play was really slow, though. We were stacked up 4-5 groups deep and there was no Marshall to push people along. Good place to work on your short game, though.

course said I didn't show up and charged me a week after the round. our group was there and played... money grabbing thieves...

This place is great for improving your short game! Play was quick and each hole had some challenges. Give it a try!

This course is such a fun place to play. It is a gently rolling course and the views are pretty. The gentleman at the check in desk is absolutely delightful! And we have met some very nice people on the course as well!

The smallest Denver municipal course- a par 3. A Denver tradition. Been there my whole life- learned to play play and appreciate golf there. Great for all ages- lots of fun with buddies. Denver history on the grounds as well.

We popped into Harvard Gulch on a whim on vacation for a quick nine. I was impressed with the conditions, that is compared to our Austin pitch 'n putt that has st. Augustine greens and is a little worn. Pace was decent but a little slow. Decent selection of yardages but shouldn't need more than a pitching wedge. Very pleasant environment. If I lived nearby I'm sure I'd swing by often.
