Golfer Reviews
Will never return
We arrived 1 hour before our tee time to get something to eat and was told there is nowhere to eat as the person who did the catering made no money so stopped. We were then told they may not be able to fit us in for our time because they already have people playing at the times we had booked because apparently GolfNow won't pay the £10 to make the computer systems work together. We then asked if we could just play now and with a hesitant yes we played early. Some holes we had to tee off on the mats which are in the worst condition I've ever seen. We didn't do 18 holes we stopped after 9 as its a 9 hole course and did not want to repeat it. While one of our group was putting his trolley in his car one of the wheels of his trolley was covered in poo. Overall we weren't impressed but it was cheap.
Great little course
Really fun but challenging course. Got ourselves two buggies which I would highly recommend due to lots of slopes. Staff friendly and helpful, nice driving range although no monitors. Value for money was really good, would recommend to friends and we will be going there again
Daventry & District
Great little course with some challenging holes, well maintained and a friendly team👍
Good challenge
Courses Great greens were brilliant very hilly so bring you climbing legs with you good tucked out the way small course Great staff
Cheap & cheerful but hilly and quirky !
The good folk from Dav & District have just about manage to shoe-horn in 18 holes here, through using tee areas for multiple holes and a very tight layout. There is a lot of signage and most of it is useful but the 'Next tee' signs should actually specify which hole(s) is next......
I echo previous comments - this is a VERY undulating course - so a good workout for the thighs ! Even on the fairways, the ball is often above or below your feet. The course is also pretty exposed so yes - wind can play it's part.
The course was in remarkably good condition for this time of year - well done.
Great course for a beginner
Friendly staff , great pace of play, wasn’t too busy. Nice course, very open so the wind can be a killer :) would recommend and will return soon.
Daventry is ok
First time to this course and apart from tomorrow morning’s 4 ball likely to be my last.
Unless you’re extremely fit do not attempt 18 holes without a buggy. The most undulating course i have ever played on and i felt poorly signed. It’s a 9 holes without course and apart from perhaps 3 holes, quite difficult to see where you’re going.
If you’re fit and like a challenge this is the course for you.
Ok course
For the value it’s ok and had a buggy (a must for over 40s) that was £20 for 18 holes. The terrain of the course made it difficult to know where your balls was going to land (except of course the par 3s. It looked like a golf course that had to be placed there despite the terrain. Not for a beginner. The staff in golf shop were not helpful and had to wait for about 4 minutes to be served despite having booked hours earlier; he spent the time in the phone in front of me.
very nice 9 hole course
Well laid out course with a good variety of holes and very helpful and friendly staff. The day was somewhat spoiled by the extremely slow fourball in front of us
