South at Silver Lake Country Club

After so much rain this course drained wonderfully and playing it was fun and dry.

The course was in great shape, played a little slow due to league but that's understandable. Looking forward to playing again.

Great Course, friendly staff. The only problem was there were several groups of teenage student golfers who slowed us down. The students could have been placed on the nine hole course. Nevertheless, it was a good round for my group.

Booked the north course for a twilight tee time. Course was open per the schedule several tee times before and after. Unbeknownst to us, they slot tee times in between league play. The pace was unbearable slow with multiple carts waiting to tee off per hole. Front 9 almost took 3hrs. Opened up on the back 9 but had to call it after 5 holes for darkness.

4 hours and 50 minutes and we skipped 3 holes. Incredibly slow play. A group was on 16 tee with no one else on the course .. we skipped from 14 to 17 and played the last 2 holes to finish in 4 hrs 50 min. Ridiculous - ranger did nothing to speed up play.

Pay play was very slow. We played behind some groups of guys. Course played well, but the time was excruciatingly painful..

The pace of play was extremely poor throughout the round. There were multiple occasions where as many as four groups were stacked up on a single hole due to the group directly in front of us. Two players in that group were playing from the blue tees and two from the white tees, despite consistently struggling to reach even the red tees off the tee box.

The delays were further compounded by their excessive caution. At times, they would not hit their second shots because they were concerned about reaching groups on greens nearly 200 yards away, despite their shots traveling closer to 100 yards. Yet they still took time using range finders before nearly every shot.

As a result, it took approximately three hours to complete the front nine holes. The pace became so unreasonable that I contacted the golf shop to request assistance. A ranger was sent out, but unfortunately no meaningful action was taken and the delays continued for the remainder of the round.

I understand that golf includes players of all skill levels, but maintaining a reasonable pace of play is essential to the enjoyment of everyone on the course. Unfortunately, that was not the case during this round.

Course was in good conditions layout is poor and usually playing into others and have to be weary of other holes when playing.

Played north course. Super layout. Course and greens were excellent. Bunkers need work. But the pace of play was ridiculous. Early morning tee time that one would think 4 hours and out .Group was allowed to be a hole and a half off the pace . Absolutely ridiculous..Rangers are needed.

This was my third or fourth time playing Silver Lake South and first time in several years. The conditions were perfect and we finished in under 4 hours! The greens were extremely fast and difficult with a great amount of undulation which made them very challenging. I will definitely be back

Nice layout and many par fours over 400 from the white tees. Great clubhouse with historic photos and a long bar.

Course conditions were good however cart path only was a complete hassle. Better to walk. Also we did not know cart path only until we were in the middle of the first hole. Tell us before we tee off. This created a huge back up on the course. We played the south. Cannot get in a rhythm to play by waiting 10 min to tee off every hole. 5 hours to play and the new price is 88.00. Not going back.

Always enjoy playing an old tradition style course like this
