Cedar Glen Golf Club

Sand traps were over grown with no sand and just weeds, garbage cans were overflowed with trash, and beer cans all over in the bushes. Tee boxes were torn up and in bad shape.

We stopped playing at Cedar Glen about three years ago because the course was left to turn wild and the care on the greens was completely absent. Because of the GolfNow offer I took a chance grab the buddy and went up to Cedar Glen. Very nice surprise course management had been returned, the greens almost all of them were an excellent condition unlike most of the local public courses nearby. They no longer have a working kitchen, but that was never the reason I went golfing anyway.

Overall it was a very nice experience, the leaves played a bit of havoc when I didn’t hit the fairways but it is quiet and serene, so grab your clubs and check it out….

It took over 5 hours to play a round. They let groups of 5 or 6 people go out and play all together.

We played Cedar Glen often about 10 years ago, but the condition is really deteriorated and we start looking for a better course to spend our money on. I heard they close down for a year and when they opened up again last year, I didn’t come back right away, but GolfNow had a special and I decided to give it a shot. I played three times in since, of course, is in very good shape. The greens are exceptional. The pace of play was great. Clubhouse is in good shape and the people are very friendly. Good to see a classy golf course get reborn, I will be playing many more times the rest of this season.

This course is HORRENDOUS! Last time I played here I got stuck behind a group of 8. Yes, a group of EIGHT. We had to skip 3 holes to get a good bit ahead of them, and when we brought it to the attention of the pro shop, instead of receiving a discounted rate, we got a complimentary hot dog. My 2nd time here was for a 9:45 tee time, however we weren’t able to tee off until 10:30 because of a severe backup. It took 2 hours for my group of 3 to play thru 6 holes. Conditions are also abysmal, it’s nearly impossible to find a clear spot on the tee box for par 3s, and fairways are full of dead spots. There are zero bunkers, as they’re all full of patchy grass. Ponds are disgusting, and smell horrible. A “ranger” who seemed to be about 14 years old drove by seemingly doing nothing about the ridiculous pace of play. I will absolutely never be back, and I hope you all save your money and do not give this place a dime. It’s a DUMP!

The course itself is decent… the scorecards do not match the course. The GPS does not match the course. And the most annoying part of this place is the golf carts.. had one die on us in the middle of the course and it took 20-30 minutes to have staff come bring us another cart… every time I’ve been there I have had cart issues. Nothing worse after a bad shot than the golf cart not wanting to move…. Very frustrating and honestly intolerable when paying so much to play…

Fun course which needs a little work on the sand traps. Staff were all very friendly. Try the hot dogs.

The rough was too long and you would lose a ball if it landed in the rough right next to the fairway. Sand traps had grass in them.

We booked a T time, and prepaid. The gentleman at the counter tried to charge me. I told him that I prepaid, to which he replied oh yeah you did.

Ok......... we were then sent off BEHIND a league.

Which would have been okay if they didn't take quite literally 25 minutes per hole.

Impossible to get your game going at this pace of play. The course has so many leaves/ sticks finding your ball truly becomes an adult eater egg hunt. After an hour and fifteen, getting 3 full holes in, we called it a day.

Do not waste your time or money on this course.

Cedar Glen is a great value for golf. It's in good shape and a nice layout. Pace started slow but the ranger keeps it moving. It's not a difficult course but challenging enough for better golfers.

If you’re looking to pick up a round last minute,or just want to work on your game, this place is a winner.

No, it’s not one of the elite courses in SE Michigan but for the price it’s a solid value

Aside for the chaos at the tee box (no starter) and the fact thay they do not regulate play by allowing 2-somes and singles in between 4 somes, we still were able to enjoy the course even though it was a 5 1/2 hour round.
