Good Bones & Good Greens
It was a fun round. Front 9 is tiight while back is more open. Water and marsh in play on many holes but not crazy. Greens are in decent shape and have some nuances that make them more challenging than your everyday course. Sand traps are all overgrown with grass. Main reason why I gave it only three stars..
Marsh Oaks
Not worth the money. Course not kept up.Same ruts and under repair areas as last year.
Okay, but……
It’s been a while since I played Marsh Oaks, and I was fairly disappointed. I agree with all the reviews that call out the condition of the cart paths, they are atrocious, and one could definitely sustain a neck/back injury driving on them…definitely need major rework. Many fairways are damaged and have numerous bare spots. Greens were in good shape, but I wish players would learn to fix ball marks. Overall, I don’t know that I’ll ever play there again.
Pace of Play
7 minute tee times stacks up the tee boxes the whole round.
Never again
This place was voted the 9th worst course in the US! That’s all you need to know!
Could use a lot of work
I've played here numerous times, so I know what I'm getting when I do play.
Old Oaks - let's be fair and mention some of the good stuff: Beverage girl came by 4 different times during the 18-hole round, the staff is very friendly, and carts come cleaned and in great running shape. Service at the clubhouse bar and grill is excellent. Course is very playable - front side is not long at all, back nine has a mix of long and short holes (Holes 10, 12 and 18 are very good golf holes).
The Bad: Most of the tee boxes are in bad shape (especially hole 9 and pretty much any par 3 on the course), weeds growing inside the bunkers, pace of play usually not very good (it was a league night, but still...), damage to course in many areas - a little work would go a long way here.
I appreciate the relatively low cost to play here at any time, but a little bit of work on this course could go a long way here.
Average everything
Nothing that you'll brah about or complain about here.
Kind of your average public golf course. The greens were in great shape, although pretty bland without much character to them.
Worth the money.
Great value
This is a nice drive and a great value from the suburbs
Great Potential
Fun Course, Slightly More Challenging than it appears, some wide open holes and some tight ones. Course in decent condition, a few areas could use some attention. Some Tee Boxes are in great shape and some need a lot of TLC. Overall, great for the price, staff is awesome, pace of play was 3.5 hours for 18 holes but we did play early.
Great value for price
Great staff, great prices for a solid course. Always can get 18 and a cart for $35 and under and that's pretty rare now that everyone upped their prices to $45-55+ in the surrounding area. Greens have been solid all year so far in 2026.
Not worth the price
Only place that had tee times on a holiday. $75 is insane. This is why they were the only course with openings.
“Rain”?
Thx for staying open. It never rained only steady mist. Win win!!
