Brae Burn Golf Club
About
Brae Burn Golf Club in Plymouth has a traditional layout with a landscape that ranges from gently rolling to wildly undulating. On most holes, elevated tees play to elevated greens. The large, undulating greens usually slope back to front. Golfers will encounter water on 15 holes and the fairways are lined with mature trees. The bunkering is sparse but strategically placed and there are also rough-enhanced moguls protecting the greens, a unique feature at Brae Burn. One tip if it is your first time on the golf course is to study the course diagram beforehand since there are many hidden ponds that come into play on the fairways and greensides. The course's most famous hole is the par-5 13th, nicknamed "The Monster" since it measures a devilish 666 yards. This tricky hole double doglegs to the left and then back towards the right.

Excellent Value | Pace of Play Dependent
Excellent course for the cost. Fun layout, lots of driving holes but still has teeboxes that require strategy. Green complex’s are better than you’d expect, lots of undulations and speed. Problem is the type of golfer that often plays here will not fix their ball marks. Proshop will unnecessarily pair you up with another 2some which has slowed my round significantly when my dad and I could have been long gone. Obviously if it’s busy and you’re keeping up with the group ahead, it is what it is. I’ve played this course several times and I recommend playing for sure 👍
Fun course
Overall good course..with some interesting holes and tough greens... only issue was they still wanted almost $50 ...on a special..when they just aerator the greens..would of been nice to know...ahead of time.. wouldn't mind spending the money otherwise.. would like to play again after green heal up..
Wind and long rough
It was a good deal an it was a challenge with the 20mph winds. The tee boxes need some attention and the greens were good and fast. Course definitely needs repairing the cart paths. We had a good time!
Needs some TLC
Course could be decent, but needs a lot of work across all fronts. No ball cleaners on the course, nobody driving a refreshment cart, and the range is no longer in operation. There are better courses for the same price range. Likely won’t be back.
Classic course!
Love the openness of the course. The course is fun!
Revisiting the Monster!
Always Great to play a round at Brae Burn. Long course with many strategic Links. Staff was very courteous AND there were many Fantastic Deals in the Pro shop on Apparel accessories.
A Fun Course
I love the course layout and holes (maybe not #5 so much). Does the old course need some sprucing up - yes. But it was in really good shape, the greens are fast and true, and the tee boxes were in great condition for this time of year. Can't wait to play it again.
Carts and roads
Needs new carts and roads redone poor shape on both
Brae Burn - very nice !!
Excellent golf experience. Course was in good shape. Fairways nice & groomed, greens roll nice (and their tough). Tee-boxes flat. Pace of play was great. Low spots were a little wet.
Only negative comment, the cart paths are very rough & beaten up.
Greens are really hard!
I liked the lay out, it’s definitely possible to score well, lots of short par 4s, but the greens were brutal and i found myself having so many par putts that turned to bogeys and even a few doubles. enjoyed the course though, would play again.
