About
Carved from acres of wooded countryside in Woodstock, Towne Lake Hills Golf Club takes advantage of the rolling green hills. The dramatic elevation changes make it difficult to find an even lie anywhere on the course. Arthur Hills, the course's designer, incorporated a variety of challenges that makes each hole unique including a deft smattering of sand bunkers. The golf course depends as heavily on course management and strategy as it does on shot-making skills. It is a challenge to say the least, but it's fair. There are also four sets of tees that make it more approachable. One of the most memorable holes is the fifth. This par 5 presents an interesting risk-reward opportunity that will make you think. Towne Lake Hills G.C. boasts consistently good course conditions and idyllic scenery that make the round even more enjoyable.

Great Course but Inconsistent Greens
Course had some bald spots but many greens were not consistent in speed, which causes putting issues. Hoping the course can fix the greens sooner than later. Great course layout
Really tough course, fun to play
It's important to have course knowledge here at Towne Lake Hills. The course it not forgiving left or right with sheer drop offs unless you're on the fairway. All in all, great course layout, but hole 18 really was the handicap for folks who have never played before.
Not a good value
For the price not what I would expect. Carts are old no screens. Even the score cards did not have the hole lay outs so you have no idea where to hit.
Painful
For $93, there just isn't value in this course. The round took 5 hours and 15 min to play. There was several times that the tee box was stacked up. The rangers came by 4-5 times but clearly they don't encourage faster pace. Don't go unless you have ALL day to play and don't get frustrated waiting.
Good course
Overall it was you want to expect of a golf course. Good community as well.
Excellent course! Fairways and greens superb!
Great day and round with a few exceptions. Those that play need to know course etiquette. When someone is about to tee off, you don’t drive your cart by and a lot of others skipping holes and not following rules. Have respect for others and the game!
Decent Course
Overall the course was good. Little under 4.5 hour round. Staff were friendly. Course in about the condition you expect for early spring. Each hole was slightly different.
Only real issue I have is the fairways are tight. Often penalized for landing in fairway and having the ball roll off into hazards. With the limited number of decent public courses in Atlanta. This course is good but not sure if it’s worth $90.
3.5 stars.
Overcharged for Punched Sandy Greens
I never write reviews but this green was punched, sanded and barely puttable yet they charged full price like it was all good. Garbage.
Fun Course
Played recently. Unfortunately, it rained the day before and it was CPO. Most all of the shaded areas of the fairway were slushy. Didn't make for a great round. But still was enjoyable. Definitely will come back. Pro Shop and on the course staff and bartender were all great! Very friendly and attentive.
Good Day
Course was in pretty good shape. A few tee boxes were bare, but otherwise good. Definitely play again.
Fun course
Fun course. Pace is annoying. Its like a slinky. You wait 15 minutes to shoot then get told to hurry up. Other than that, layout is good, greens are plush. Enjoyed it.
