Cobblestone Golf Course

The tee boxes and most greens were in terrible conditions. And the pace of play was horrible.

It’s not forgiving, it’s tight and hard to break 100. I had a wonderful time and enjoyed the location, just be aware to bring a lot of extra balls.

For as busy as this course is on a daily basis, it it very well maintained

Played a twilight round on a perfect day conditions wise. No expectations other than previous reviews so figured it would be a good course with nice layout that would probably be a little rough. Boy were those reviews wrong. This place is a gem. I’m a low handicapper who play frequently all over the place. This was one of those courses where I thought if I hit the lottery I would buy it and make it private. From the tips there are no breaks off the tee. Most holes require or at least suggest a shaped tee shot. Approach shots from fairways aren’t impossible but even when I hit it where I wanted the greens have so much structure they were very hard to get exact reads. Shot 77 with 35 putts and wasn’t even mad at that. A second trip to this place, which will happen very soon, will hopefully reveal some better reads. If I’m going to nitpick it wouldn’t be the layout or conditions. It would be what all public courses struggle with…the oublic. Fixed a ton of ball marks dealt with a couple rude guys waited on every tee shot but still got it in before dark (barely). I texted golf friends I had just played the most difficult greens I have seen outside of Congressional (not fortunate to play very many other top private clubs). So how this place isn’t even in the top 10 public courses in Georgia is a joke. Might be too short from upper tees to warrant higher ranking but anyone who thinks that course is gettable head back to the tips my friends. What a pleasure.

Have played this course a few times now. It's in really good shape. Fairways are a pleasure to hit from and really good shape. Be aware the greens are super fast, but putts roll true. Smooth, no bumps It's challenging even from the forward tees I played. Staff very friendly and appreciate you playing their course.

I told the guy in the pro shop it was my first time there. He walked me out to the carts and pointed out the range and first hole.

Course is well maintained, you can tell they care. I played on a Monday afternoon with nobody in front or behind me. Greens are challenging with lots of slopes. Soft green fairways, and decent tee boxes. Added bonus was the bald eagles nest on the back 9. I later saw the eagle in a tree on 17.

We love Cobblestone! The 2 carts that we were using, though, had brakes that wouldn't lock into place. Hopefully, this will be fixed soon. Other than that, a perfect evening!

A few tee boxes and other spots need attention but overall a good course. Greens have significantly improved since the spring and the cost is affordable. Doesn’t drain that well and the pace of play always seems to be on the slower side.

The course is in ok shape but the only issue I have with Cobblestone is the slow pace of play each time I’m there especially amongst the younger golfers that have no etiquette. A Marshall needs to ride around and let golfers know that they are playing to slow. Expect at least a five hour round any day of the week. For the condition of the course the rates are over priced in my opinion.

Tee boxes are nearly non existent.
