Cherokee Golf Center

I have played this course for about 4 years off and on. I'm not sure if they have new management or what is going on but the greens have really gone down hill. # 6 is actually all weeds. I understand that this course is a low cost par three but the greens are real bad even for $14.

I have always driven by this course and have always thought about trying out today, which was a good idea. The course was a good par 3 course. Obviously this course can not compete with the best par 3 courses in north Georgia like Cheatue Elan and Riverpines but the course is nice. When I got there I was greeted by a nice man in the pro shop who new what he was doing. The driving range was very nice and the mats looked new. The practice putting green rolled true and you can not beat the price. The course itself was nice and has bunkers and water like any other course. They have short distances in between holes and nice bridges so you don't sprain your ankle walking over rocks. The 7th hole was my favorite with rocks in the back with a bit of an elevated tee. 4 is also a great hole with water surrounding the green. The greens rolled pretty true and the holes where designed nicely. This is also a great course for beginners and intermediate players just wanting to work on there iron game. The longest hole is only 153 yards but the whole course is longer then it looks. Overall this is a good par 3 course and recommend it to anybody wanting to play in under 3 hours.
