About
Carved from acres of wooded countryside in Woodstock, Towne Lake Hills Golf Club takes advantage of the rolling green hills. The dramatic elevation changes make it difficult to find an even lie anywhere on the course. Arthur Hills, the course's designer, incorporated a variety of challenges that makes each hole unique including a deft smattering of sand bunkers. The golf course depends as heavily on course management and strategy as it does on shot-making skills. It is a challenge to say the least, but it's fair. There are also four sets of tees that make it more approachable. One of the most memorable holes is the fifth. This par 5 presents an interesting risk-reward opportunity that will make you think. Towne Lake Hills G.C. boasts consistently good course conditions and idyllic scenery that make the round even more enjoyable.

Great course for the money
I’d take this course over any other in the area for the money. The course was in good shape and the people were nice. Only blemish was a threesome 2 groups behind us calling us out because we stopped at the turn for beers and food. They thought we skipped them. That was annoying, but didn’t ruin our round.
Improving
Even though the tee boxes on a lot of holes are still in poor condition, they’re working on getting them fixed. Other than that, the course played really well, greens even after being punched within the last handful of weeks held the ball well and rolled good!
Better than ever.
It has been several years since I played here. Course has improved greatly. The greens are fantastic. Fairways very good. Tee boxes very good. Bunkers in great shape. Tough from the blue tees. Challenging layout. The restaurant staff was very nice and food was good. I will be back in the near future.
Favorite course
TLH has become my favorite course in the area. The staff is friendly and efficient, they have rangers driving around to prevent any problems with slow play (or other), and they keep this course in good shape. In the past, my reviews lamented that players weren’t good about fixing their ball marks on the green, but there were very few of them yesterday.
Do not book Monday-Wednesday mornings
I like this course. I have shot some of my best rounds here. Greens are always in great shape. My only problem is the senior men’s (members) group that plays from 9am-10am tee times. If you get behind them expect 6+ hour round. The sad part is the entire staff knows the same problem. I get it everyone is fighting for revenue; however, if this group is consistently doing this how about blocking 30-1hr behind them so they get a large head start. Had we caught them say holes 12-15 no problem. It was from hole 1 till we have to bolt and miss the last three holes due to time. We were already 4h and 15 min by hole 15. You even have a sign posted on the tee box for slow play. If you can get out on those days boom 8am-8:30am or 1pm late. Any other day it’s not a problem.
Greens in good shape and the course is in good condition. Pace of play was slow, but it was expected for Father’s Day.
Course was overbooked. Players ahead didn’t care of people behind pace
Unless some type of discount to off set that experience I won’t nor recommend peers to go back an play there
