Central Florida's Juliette Falls tops Power Rankings for the week of Oct. 12

It was a sweep on the podium for Florida golf courses in this week's edition of Power Rankings. Juliette Falls, near Ocala in central Florida, led the charge with tremendous reviews for the first half of October. Destin's Emerald Bay and Palm Beach Golf Course rounded out the top three, while Orlando's Shingle Creek and Lake Buena Vista finished fifth and seventh, respectively.

Juliette Falls is one of the top-rated courses in Ocala on Golf Advisor. The course is less than 10 years old and features rolling hills and a lot of water features to go with a championship layout designed by John Sanford.

"The layout is beautiful and challenging," wrote reviewer jgruber1. "But there is plenty of room in the fairway for average golfers when playing from the proper tee box. Every hole stands out on its own."

It's possible this little ditty finds you scooping up the last bit of cranberry pie crumbs out of the tray. Thanksgiving may have passed but the effects of celebratory eating around the table, and also possibly social imbibing during all the various football games throughout the weekend, are sticking with us. To our bellies and elsewhere.
