Pine Knolls Golf Course

I was surprised by this course & its location. A golfing friend suggested we play there & it was a good suggestion. The staff wasn’t so friendly & the golfers there on course weren’t either. Still that didn’t ruin my round. Really impressed with the condition & the greens. I have already told another friend about the course. I’ll play it again when the weather cools down. Man, it was very hot!!!

Love this course and its staff! Particularly Ryan in the Pro Shop! Hes always fun, friendly, and helpful!

Just wanted to get out and chose Pine Knolls and enjoyed it all! Had a great game, course in great shape, with lots of challenges!

This is a really nice course with a pretty much a straight forward layout. I really like the speed of the greens and the rough is reasonable and you can find your ball. I have being playing the course for a few year now and I've always liked it. Keep up the good work.

Had not played here in a while. Course was in great shape and staff very nice. Could not get over how good the course was. Hats off to the new owners! I plan on going back!

Good but hard greens . I like pine knolls . They are very nice there . I will be back .

The course is what it is but the greens were excellent, grass was cut nice and we had a great day. Would definitely do it again.

Had wanted to try this course but it wasn't previously listed on Golfnow. Saw a Hot Deal time for a Sunday and decided to try it. Personnel were friendly , the carts were very smoorhe to drive and really liked the course layout. Golfed after a hard freeze the night before, so the fairways were dry, but they did a great job of maintaining the greens. Gives the ladies several opportunities for eagle from the forward tees.

Will return to this course, and Would definitely recommend this course to others.

I have played Pine Knolls a few times previously, and I have enjoyed my rounds there. The course has lots of elevation changes but is not terribly long. The tee boxes were in good shape and I had a good lie anytime I hit into the fairway. Greens rolled at a moderate pace with very little undulation.

The regular weekday rate is a good price for this course and if you can find a Hot Deal the value is fantastic. I will be back again.

Course is generally a challenging design. They are currently making a lot of upgrades to the course (tree removal, grading land, etc.) In a few years if that takes, it'll be nice. Greens were in very nice shape. Fairways, rough and tees were not so good. Have played before, staff is usually pretty nice.

Played today, a Friday afternoon and soon realized that the course apparently allows 5somes during the week, not sure about the weekend. Might want to call before you plan and confirm if they are that day. Today we had 2 5somes holding up a 4some, 3some and 2 2somes and never offered too allow anyone to play through. And not a ranger in site to try and police some golf etiquette. Would have been nice to have been able to play through. Probably would have cut at least 45 minutes off our round.

The staff was wonderful. The putting surfaces are excellent! Great price!

Found this on Golf Now and my brother and I decided to try it. Best bent grass greens I have ever played on. Comparable to any resort course or private club I have seen. Even though we have had a lot rain course had drained well and we were able to drive on the course. Only a few wet spots. But the greens are worth the chance to play.

This a great course particularly for woman. Nearly all the ladies tees are decorated in some way with a yard ornament or flowers. It was very nice! The staff are very sweet and I really enjoyed my experience! My only complaint would be the temporary score cards they're using now. The don't have red or red tee yardages on it at all! Hopefully they'll get more soon!

This is my home course.. Play it allot... It's seen better days.. New owner to take over in May ... Let's hope for the best and some grass on the tee boxes ..
