Reviews
Good condition
Course was in excellent condition despite the lack of rain and summer heat. Staff at check in was pretty rude, but I'd recommend this course to a friend.
Nice day out...
I booked a last minute outing with my son. When we got there they put us with another couple of guys, who were great btw. The staff was great except on the back nine, we only seen the beer cart once. The front nine was great. She had come around about every other hole or so. The ladie on the back must've gotten lost. Other than that, the course was in great shape, the pace play was just ok, due to an outing in front if us I think. All in all a great day of golf.
Tregaron
Overall pretty good course.
Greens were running slow today.
There are gold tee boxes.
GREENS AVERAGE
GREENS NEED TO BE CUT. SPEED OF GREENS VERY SLOW!!!
the course was in very good shape
Only complaint would be that 2 or 3 greens had a few bad patches on them, from what, I don't know but overall we really enjoyed our round. We will definitely be returning
Tregaron Golf Course
Links style pretty open most bunkers not great to hit out of seems like more dirt then sand in them other not bad to play course is in pretty shape
This course needs water
This course needs water. The greens are very bumpy, overall course is very bumpy. Very hard on the back if you have to leave the cart path.
Great time
Played with a friend and we had a great time playing and catching up. Pace of play was excellent never waited and didn't hold anyone up. It was 100 degrees with the heat index that day but humidity was down and a nice breeze blowing. A couple greens (2 or 3) were in bad shape in areas on of which severely effected a putt of my friend. The rest of the course was in good shape. Couple tee boxes need to be leveled off a bit.
Great course
Wonderful time. Paired with another twosome. Pace of play was good.
poor facilities
don't play here. the conditions are awful for the amount of rain we have had
Great value for course
Greens in better conditions than other nearby courses that charge on average $10-15 more for 18 holes. Overall condition of entire course was great other than a full weekend of same tee box placement and no grass to hardly tee off but just moved back in the box a couple club lengths so not really an issue. Nice course and friendly staff
Wonderful course that is not booked well
Great course that is very scenic and well-kept. I've played this course three times, at three different times of the day, and have never finished in less than five hours. The course books way too many people for tee times.
Loved it!
We were in Omaha for the College World Series and planned on golfing during the day. This course is about a 20 minute drive from downtown Omaha. We played as a twosome, one day after playing a much more difficult course. The fairways were nice but the greens needed some attention...a few patchy areas that are pretty tough to putt on. There is water on the course that men need to drive over, but women don't :). I always love that! Overall, I had a decent day and my husband had his best game ever.
Don't book on a weekend during the summer
Very bad experience this last weekend. Booked on Golfnow and when we got there they had 40 carts ready for an outing. We were went to the 1st tee and then they sent out the event. Two groups on our tee and two more on every tee on the front side and more. We had to wait for the carts to go out to tee off.
We asked at the pro shop about this and were told, 'everyone does this'. It took 6 hours to play 15 holes and we cut over to avoid three holes that would have taken over an hour to play. One time last year they put us between two outings.
This is just unacceptable customer service. The course had at least two greens that were very beat up as well. Do not book here during the summer unless you are ready to wait for a cart to be free and then take over 6 hours to play. They never have a marshall, never call players to the tee and just don't seem to care about pace of play or customer service at all.
Okay
We played on a stormy Sunday morning at 745. The good. It's an interesting layout and a fair but challenging test. The staff are great.
The not so good. No range. Ugh. Many of the greens had significant dead patches.
The puzzling. Despite a complete absence of a starter or any real plan as to combining twosomes we played in 4 hours, even with a few weather stoppages.
Worth a try.
Sloooooow
We have played here a few times before and is usually in decent shape and a good track. Weekend play on 6/8 was extremely slow. 3 holes in 1 hour 10 mins. We called the pro shop from the 4th tee box and asked for a rain check. They allowed that and were very apologetic and said they were looking for more volunteers to help with this problem.
some winter kill
Course still has some winter kill in fairway and several greens. It was a rough winter, but they need to try to get the greens in better shape.
They really need to improve on the starter and how they send groups out. They will send out a twosome, a threesome another twosome and then a single. Put groups together and then run someone around to make groups keep up the pace.
Fun course and always in good shape.
The course was in great shape except for a couple greens. I enjoy this course and for $25, 18 holes and a cart makes it a wonderful day. We played as a twosome and was done in under 4 hours easily.
