The carts were bad, the brakes didn’t work very good. I told the greens helper and he said he was aware of the cart situation. The course is I bad shape. The play was very slow. Should have gotten through the round in about 3 hours. It took almost 5.
Meh
So,
I’ve played this course many times over and this previous time today was by far the worst.
The biggest turn offs of the course were the poorly maintained tee box’s, less than average fairway conditions and the greens were in terrible shape.
Perfect course for the price
I live in Charlotte and make the drive up usually weekly to play I love this course not long but still can be challenging. For the price you cannot beat this in the Charlotte area all things considered
Great value for beginners/casual players
A very simple, shorter course with small greens and a few challenging holes. Only 2 par 5’s (both in back half. relatively easy to land in 2). Honestly the reviews scared me a bit but at sub $20weekdays/$25weekends I think it is totally worth it. You can tell the locals (mostly older gentlemen) and the employees really enjoy their cozy course. Putting greens and greens consistently worked on and upgraded (however still need more work). Most greens are pretty nice while others can be very patchy in parts. Carts are zippy and work well (with rain covers). My only gripe is that pace can become very slow but I have been there when course is wide open and have finished in 2.5-3 hours.
Green grass
The fairways where green and most of the greens but some are sandy and missing grass
Deplorable greens
One of the good things about my round of golf was the price at only $28. I actually like the layout of the course.
The bad, terrible greens as most had spots with sand and no grass as you can see in the attached photo.
Great course for beginners or experienced. Fairways are a little close but not a big deal. Only thing was if it's busy hours you will have players on top of you. Overall though great course and would recommend
