This course only has 12 holes…you play the front 6 2x to complete 18. That isn’t terrible, but you would think maybe they could have separate tee boxes for the “back 6”…

Greens were some of the worst I’ve seen…burnt grass to non-existent. A lot of hard dirt. Some greens were really soft and some were hard as a rock. The only thing consistent about them was they were consistently bad!

Fairways were also inconsistent, some were “rough like” conditions and others were true fairways.

There were absolutely no water coolers on the course, no bathrooms, and no carts driving by…you could call an order in but you would have to pick up at clubhouse.

Just nothing memorable (in a good way) about the course.

Great course for the money. We played after 2 days of 5 inches of rain and course was in great shape and drained well.

I always tell beginners if you play a bad course it hurts your game.

Wow. A hidden gem. Great lay out . Only 12 holes but PGA style . Great condition. The club house is better than any country club. Trust me perfect for low experience and better than 9 holes.

Loyal customer treated so bad I’ll never go back. Not sure what her name was, but to be treated that way right after I got off the phone with another employee that was so nice and helpful. Course condition was terrible and the prices went up to 18 hole (REAL GOLF COURSE) prices even though they are a 13 hole country style (rough so it’s cheap) Golf course. Well not anymore. Get ready to pay $40 for a less than decent experience. This used to be a fun course and I learned on this course. So to be made feel so unappreciated and unwelcome at a course I’ve played 100s of times is really sad. I’m not sure what’s going on there but I DEFINITELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYMORE! Unfortunately

Really enjoyed this course! Pace was great on a Friday! Well kept fairways and greens. Lots of work going on to expand the course. Don’t believe the price and membership will stay this low much longer.

Course is in excellent condition. Pro shop staff is very friendly. Restaurant attached to club house is amazing!!! Worth the drive from outside Charlotte and surrounding areas !!!

I liked the course.... greens and fairways were good, staff was friendly, and the scenery around the course was good also.

Colin Creek was a fun course to play. The fairways are nice, and the course overall is well-kept. A couple of the greens were still a bit sandy, with additional grass just starting to come up. But this shouldn't even be an issue in another 2-3 weeks. However, the greens were still very playable.

We were there on the Saturday before Easter, and I was wondering if it was going to be overcrowded on the course. There were plenty of other groups on the course, but we never had to slow play due to the group ahead of us (and we never even saw the group behind us).

Honestly, the only complaint I have is about the course layout/lack of signage. The course gets a bit confusing because they have 12 holes (with an option to play the "back 6" through from a different set of tees to serve as holes 13-18. In theory, it's easy enough to understand -- but the signage is not very clear on the course. Also, when you leave one green, it's not always clear where the next hole is, and you'll run into a few cart path intersections along the way. So it's easy to get turned around.

Again, this was a fun course -- I could definitely see myself playing here again!

By its design it is a strange course. 12 holes, so you have to play 6 holes twice, but it is not always clear which hole you are supposed to play. As a first time player on this course it was confusing, especially 16, where you skip a par 3 to get to a par 4.

My biggest complaint were the greens. They were extremely sandy and slow. Maybe if you play there more, you know to expect that. All in all it was fine but probably not somewhere I would go back to. The price is reasonable and people were nice. It’s just a strange course. I would go back, but I would not choose it.

Greens must be mowed once a week minimum to maintain some truth to putting lines. Failure to mow at all means great inconsistency in speed and or break. I have always liked this course but there is little maintenance. I hope this spring is kind and that others will give this course an opportunity as the environment and views are wonderful. The Green tree restaurant is the best part of any trip to this course.

Course was pretty open when I played. Greens are recovering but very slow. My ball got stuck in some weeds on my approach shots to the green which was a first. Greens are bumpy. Bring a hammer for some tee boxes to get your tee into the ground. Even if you bring a mattress, your going to need your back readjusted playing this course. Layout of the course is ok. Some fun holes, some head scratcher holes. Overall, spend the extra couple of dollars and play elsewhere.
