Unnecessary slow pace of play
Very nice facility, although somewhat dated. Excellent course design, and well maintained fairways and bunkers.. The only problem was that I chose to play on a day when the club hosted a member’s best ball tournament. The pace of play was ridiculously slow, with no ranger to assist in speeding up play. I would play this course again, but only with no members’ tournament.
Great as Always
Very fair layout. Greens were in great shape, and very challenging.

Great course for the money and challenges.. Water, sand traps.. Green in nice shape.. Have played there numerous times. Always on time
Great Monday morning
Nice quiet Monday not to busy. Great day on a well kept course.
Monday morning
After working hard all weekend, a Monday morning tee box is just what the doctor should have ordered.
Silent City is always nice and pleasant, I’ve played here around 4 or 5 times since I’ve relocated here to North Carolina

Great Course, Value is Excellent
WE played on the holiday weekend and there were very few people there, played 18 holes in just over 3 hours and we were a foursome of seniors. It is never very crowded and the value is excellent.
Not for amateurs
This course has its attractions - it is well maintained and located in a lovely natural setting. But the heavily sloped fairways and greens that send even well hit balls into very difficult lies made it a very frustrating course to play. I may come back when I am a scratch golfer. ;-)
SCCC
Nice course for the money. Greens are decent but need to be redone. Cart paths are in bad shape, but overall it’s a really nice course for the money.
Good course
Both fairways and greens were in good shape. Original bent grass greens were soft and smooth. Would go back again soon.
