Sanford Golf Course

Course was fun yet challenging for a beginner golfer. Highly recommend for anyone to try once and enjoy something new.

You won't find a better course at this price point. Greens were outstanding and rolled true but they are tiny little things. Fairways and tee boxes were good for the most part, a few tees boxes could use some help. Course is very tight with lots of doglegs. Would be a great practice course as a lot of precision is needed off the tee and into the greens. Pro shop staff was very friendly and helpful. Course really needs a ranger. We played the front 9 fairly quick but the back 9 took almost 3 hours because the 3some in front of us got 2 holes behind. A ranger would have been pretty helpful but it's a Monday afternoon at a municipal so I get it. Just don't understand how some people can be so inconsiderate of others.

This was a pleasant surprise. The golf course. Especially the greens, was in better condition than many in the area. For $33, there isn’t a better experience near Raleigh. Short, but challenging and fair. Laid back environment. People are very nice and polite. Pace of play was a bit slow, but faster than most public courses in and around Raleigh. Well worth the drive. I will definitely play it again.

very nice course for seniors especially, not to difficult

Course was in pretty good shape. Lots of rain last week gave some think grass growth. Greens were a little slow but rolled well. Worth the cost, nice range to warm up. Great track. 6100y from blue tees, so not terribly long.

Fun. Friendly. Decent course. My son brought a friend along to play his first round. We all had fun and fellowship. My son's friend learned quite abit about the game of golf without feeling pressured.

I took the time and effort to write a lengthy review, but when I hit submit it said that because I used the $ sign in the price I paid question it wouldn't go through or let me correct it. Faulty software

Greens are in great shape. Most of the fairways are in fair condition and have the “Sandhills clay/dirt” which are tough to play off of. The pace of play and value were excellent. Amenities and clubhouse are minimal but for the value, who cares. Will revisit.

Didn’t get to ply. Pulled up and parking lot was half full. Every time I’ve tried to play as a single they won’t make tee times and tell you to show up. So I came out. Drove 30 minutes. They wouldn’t even attempt to accommodate or let me out, or even pair me with another group. There was no one on #1 tee and several greens had no groups. I’ll never waste my time again.

This was my first time playing Sanford Municipal and we got a very generous Golf Now coupon code to play. I was impressed by the tree-lined fairways and above-average condition of the greens. This is a great bargain at regular price (about $40) and an absolute steal with the Golf Now Hot Deals and coupon codes. We will definitely be back!
