Greens are lost for this season!
I've played this course 3 times this season (2024). I keep hoping they will improve the greens. They haven't. Each time I've returned, the greens are worse than before. I will give them a try again in 2025. Maybe they'll be some improvement. The staff is great. Girl working the register and snack bar is excellent and an asset to the course. Love love love the Trump flag out front. This is my kind of course no doubt. They just need to improve the greens.
Get what you pay for
Fairways are just fields of grass, greens are patchy need water but for the price and laid back attitude for the golf course it’s good for new golfers, or those who want a no rules atmosphere.
Lowest score/best round
We teed off at 730am. The fairways were a little high and the greens were the slowest I’ve played on this year. The course was clean and everything was clearly marked. The trash cans were empty and the ball cleaning stations all had water.
A few if the greens had bald spots. Because they were slow we had to HIT putts. Fortunately I shot 78, which tied my best round ever. I’m a 16.9 handicap and was able to almost shoot even par on the back 9. I hadn’t been here in 4yrs (back when I was a novice). We will be back
Dixson
Greens were in bad shape and needing to cut and rolled to help flatten out greens to allow for putting.
Good value nice course
This was our first time playing twin Oaks and we got a great deal for $20 per person 18 holes with a cart so hard to complain there. The course is layout was very nice fairly wide open not too many trees not too much water and not too much sand pretty Easy test for most good golfers a few challenging holes for average golfers. Course conditions weren’t OK not great. Everything was fairly green. Putting greens were painted due to the season. They were a little rough and bumpy to be honest. Probably cost us a few shots trying to get the putt to the hole was a challenge at times but in general well-maintained. it wasn’t too busy so we were able to move right along we got around in and about four hours. We definitely go back. It’s just not as pristine as most of the courses in the Charlotte area but still it was fun.
Open course with issues on the greens
Although the layout was open and good for beginner to intermediate golfers, the greens were infested with crab grass nubs. If you want a budget round and don't mind playing planko on the greens you will enjoy. Not my cup of golf.
Terrible greens
Most likely will not return. Greens are BAD. LOOKS like worn carpet.
Greens are TERRIBLE
Greens are absolutely horrible! Ladies tees are only mere feet from mens on nearly every hole, making this a very unwoman friendly course.
Staff were really friendly however.
Most likely will not return.
Great layout. Greens going thru renovations on first few holes
This course is very funny to play. Going thru TLC for the greens for next year. No doubt this course will be fun to play as soon as greens are finished. Great sunny course to play on warm winter
Sunny days.
Great value course
Course was very fun to play, need works on the greens but seems like they are attempting to improve them, also could sweep leaves a little better
