Interesting layout
Got a very good deal on tee off. Went out as a single and 2 foursomes were kind enough to let me play thru, so finished in under 3 hours.The course winds thru tall pines with lots of doglegs. So you need to be sure your on the correct side of the fairway on tee shot. Not sure if greens had been sanded or that’s how they are normally. But I found the reads and speed a little tricky. Unusual that both 9 and 18 are par 3’s. 18 especially requires an accurate tee shot to avoid water. I think they had had dogs in the proshop. Beers were reasonable (2.75) but only choices were bud and michelobe ultra.
Been playing here for 20 years
Always a good time at land o lakes! Small hometown feel and hospitality! FYI every putt is left to right if any break. Greens are slow when there is dew on the course! They speed up very fast when they dry off
Great value
Conditions consistent with end of winter into spring. Grass mostly dormant, weeds were out, greens waking up. Fun layout, some elevation, blind shots. Can not beat it for the money. Absolutely worth a play and im sure it'll get better further into spring & summer.
Nice course
Off the beatn path so to speak. Course is in great shape and fairways, bunkers, greens are all nice. Not a fan of bermuda greens, , but thats just my little quirk.
