Best practice facility, great conditions

The range, chipping areas and par 3 course make up the best practice facility I’ve seen at a private club. Course is always well maintained. Staff are amazing throughout the club. Greens and bunkers are only challenges with relatively wide open fairways and greens always roll true.

Excellent

Spectacular venue. Course had a superb layout and was in excellent shape. Bunkers are the course’s strongest defense as there are few water hazards. Greens were difficult, but fair. Must play course if you get the opportunity. Staff was helpful and very friendly. First class experience.

As Good as Expected

Course is really good, has great flow through the round. Incredible variety on the par 3s; oddly enough the best one isn't a Donald Ross original hole. 18 is a really cool par 4 that gives great opportunity for birdie to end the round; also not a Ross original. Overall, a really cool place and certainly one to play if you can get access.

Great Old Course

It is great to play a Donald Ross course and this one doesn't disappoint. The layout is great, the bunkers are penal (as they should be) and the greens roll true. My only problem with the course is they had "punched" the fairways about a week before we played. That is the only reason I gave the course conditions 4 stars. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Golf the way it is meant to be!!!

This is a great course, from the practice facility to the clubhouse to the staff. Great conditions, fast greens (11 on the stimp), sand everywhere and very pleasing to the eye. This course is what you would expect in the Myrtle Beach area; the only drawback is that it is an hour north. Put this course on your list to play!
