Winston Lake Golf Course

Great value. This is a very challenging golf course but has not been well maintained. The greens need further attention. Every hole has elevation changes. The course rewards accuracy over distance.

Is okay here regularly if the greens get to consistently good condition.

Course was in great shape except some rot or bare spots on a few of the greens fun layout challenging definitely will play again later

Hadn't been on the course in over 25 years, it will not be anywhere near that long before I play it again.

Gentleman at the clubhouse was Topnotch, very friendly, helpful and informative. Course layout was much better than I remembered it to be. Not overly long, but tight with long rough, grass. Etc should you miss the fairway. Opportunities on every hole to lose balls should you not hit it straight. The only minus would be that the greens were not in the best of shape. Overall an enjoyable round and I look forward to returning

Beautiful location and layout. Many greens had severe burn spots that were simply unputtable.

I know the greens aren’t so great (in fact, quite bad), but…we have came to love this course and its staff! Looking forward to seeing it improve each time we play!

We loved this course overall, but were so sad about how BAD the greens were! I mean, worst we have ever seen. Staff was super nice. We will we return and hope to see large improvement in greens conditions.

The course definitely has awesome possibilities and was definitely a secret gem, but please fix those greens!

This was by FAR the worst round of golf I’ve ever played. My wife and I got to course 30 mins early they shop staff was a nice guy . He told us to go ahead and tee off which was ok . We got to tee box and a group of 4 men we’re teeing off , one of them a obviously was a beginner he drove the ball I know no more than 30 yards We waited patiently for them to get to the green then followed these guys for two more holes because they wouldn’t let us play through

Then at home at home 4 the course guys were trying to clean around green and wouldn’t let anyone play through, we finally skipped a hole to go around them . Then the golf cart dies on home six

The course was in horrible shape tee boxes bare big bare spots on very green

I lost two sleeves of pro V1 golf balls in the middle of their fairways ! I mean dead center of fairway through 17 holes . Clubhouse had no snack for the turn only Diet Pepsi and cheese crackers

I would definitely not recommend this course to anyone I know or probably not even a person I didn’t

Dirt bunkers, dirt greens, dirty greens keeper literally urinating right beside the golf carts in full view of customers. Cart died on hole 13 and had to push/walk the rest of the way. Maintenance guys smoking pot and just riding around the course. Pace of play was great as nobody else was coming to play here....ever. You can tell this was a nice course 30 years ago. Days long gone. Take your game and money elsewhere. This course is what voting blue gets you. Vote red and avoid this dump.

A challenging course but very enjoyable. The course has a lot of character with narrow fairways, mature trees and an interesting layout. Staff are friendly and it was a good experience.
