Cooks Creek Golf Club

What happened to Cooks? I was out here during Memorial tourney week and it was close to being back to the course back in the 2000s before it changed to Rain Tree South.

Fairways are gone, no grass, muddy. Probably the worst set of fairways I’ve played in years. Greens were in good shape, but holes in certain greens had those monster wasps on em. Did the Cooks family sell it again? Bunkers were non existent other than the one on 10 in the fairway.

So so disappointed. I’ve been coming here for years and not again this year. Worst conditioned GC in the greater Columbus area.

Course is in bad shape. They have lost the fairways due to flooding followed by heat. Plans to reseed in the fall. I would wait until next year or longer to play. Staff is nice. Course layout good. Played in the past and loved it. Just need time to redo the course and hopefully return it to what it used to be.

Easy to see what this course could be but finding grass is impossible. First time playing on a course with conditions akin to concrete. Golfnow or the course need to post about their conditions and make the price reasonable for the shape it is in. Being told at the starter that “we lost the fairways” when the whole course is a wreck is shameful. Ended up being a $45 drive around a course that looks like a fire destroyed. I get the flooding piece but when even the high elevation holes are destroyed the only logical reason is that ownership just does t care.

This is one of my favorite central Ohio courses. It is a fun layout to play, there is lots of wildlife to see, multiple inter-

esting holes, and many par fours I do not use driver on. Unfortunately because of the weather the course has suffered. Many fairways have little green grass on them. In some areas you had to move the ball several feet to find some grass to play off of. However, even with the these conditions I would play there next week if the opportunity preseated. I am hoping that Cook's recovers quickly. I miss the Cook's from years past.

I've played this course several times before and I'm not sure what happened to the course, but there is very little grass left. It looks like it hasn't been watered all year. I played during an outing and the pace was extremely slow on top of the poor conditions. Won't return until next season, maybe there will be some grass then.

I have played this course the past 5 years and each time the condition has deteriorated while I certainly understand the weather in central Ohio has played havoc on courses this year there is no and I mean no fairway with any grass on it. Beyond the the pathways to the greens ans the stairs leading to the tee boxes are in such poor condition you could turn an ankle getting to the tee box. The course layout is phenomenal but the condition of the course is horrific. I played with a two that was told by the staff that the rate was discounted I don't know that the $10 hot deal that I see offered would be enough to draw me back. I will never be back, there is no effort being put into the upkeep of the course, the greens or the steps/stair ways leading to tees. If I could give it a ZERO rating I would.......DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ......you would be better off playing a a local municipal course.

This course used to be really good. Always in great shape and great layout. It’s a shame the course has fallen into such bad shape. Fairways are very bad, probably the worst I’ve played on this year. Tee boxes were in average shape. Greens however I thought were in prett good shape and rolled true. Sand traps had little sand in them and the 2 I hit out of essentially felt like hitting off dirt. Fit and finish of the course was poor. Gave me the feeling the course is in financial trouble. Cart paths were in poor shape as were bridges on 10. Stairs leading too and from tees were in very poor shape as well. Course just no longer has that top end feel.

Played this course for the first time and enjoyed myself. This course was open enough to score low while present some challenge. The pace of play was great. The fairways were a bit dry and patchy but could allow for great roll and distance off the tee. The greens rolled fast but that's to be expected during a hot sunny day. I would recommend this course to all golfers. I plan on playing this course again a few more times this summer.

Wish this course was closer than 40 miles. I would play it more often.

One of my favorite central Ohio courses. Interesting holes with lots of nature to look at. Always enjoy playing here. I only played golf once or twice a year until a friend got me interested when I was 60, and this was the first course that I ever played.

Played 8 thru 16 and told I could play it twice

My wife became ill morning of and they blew me off on rain check

I payed 60 dollars to playb9 holes

Very Disappointed

Due to all the rain, the majority of the holes on the front nine and a few on the back nine were closed. Tee boxes were in good condition, greens were in great condition. Staff was friendly and I’m glad that I got the hot deal and had already paid. They were offering a discount on the greens fees due to the course conditions and was a few dollars cheaper than the hot deal price. Overall it was a good experience and I’d use this app again.

The course was in great shape considering the rain that came down the night before. The elevation changes were unexpected since it’s so flat all around. We are from the Youngstown area and will stop here again when we are in the area.

Great course with excellent layout! Spread out very nice . We are from out of town and will play here every time we are back through!

We play CC fairly frequently and always enjoy the course, clubhouse & staff. We're always made to feel welcome and will continue to come back to CC.

Couldn't be happier with my choice to play at cooks creek simply a beautiful course. My only suggestions would be more attention to some of the sand bunkers and permanent signs telling you which way to go course can be confusing if you are not paying attention

I absolutely love the layout of cooks creek. It’s challenging and fun. A tee box for every skill level. The grass is in pretty great shape...especially with the high waters as of late. The course was a bit soggy from the rain, so it played a little longer than usual, but like I said, was in great shape.

The one area where an improvement could be made is the bunkers. A little attention to the quality of the bunkers would put this course over the top.

One area where there was a significant improvement over the last time I played here is the cooks grill. The chicken bacon ranch panini was fantastic.

This really is one of my favorite local courses. What a great place to play a quit round of golf on a great layout!
