About
Cooks Creek Golf Club (previously known as Raintree South Golf Club) is bordered by Little Walnut Creek on one side and the Scioto River on the other, providing a scenic setting that is ideal for a round of golf. The course is a certified Audubon Sanctuary and there is also a Blue Herron rookery on site. Opened in 1993, the golf course is relatively young but it has already established a reputation for being one of central Ohio's best public courses. Local architects Michael Hurzdan and Dana Fry designed the course with the assistance of John Cook. Cooks Creek has two completely unique nines that offer two different sets of challenges. The diverse layout requires careful strategy and it will also test your shot-making abilities. With two bodies of water serving as neighbors, water definitely plays a role on the golf course.

One of the best layouts in area
Love this course and don’t think it can be beat for the money. That being said, they need a starter/ranger. Round took 6 hours and people teeing off in front of my group had a tee time 40 mins before they were teeing off. There were 4-5 groups on each hole. A starter setting a good pace would help. Love this course though and think if it were in just little better shape it would be the best public course in area.

This course is great greens are awesome and fairways are immaculate love playing here

Great round
Was met at the club house by Mr. Cook, he was pleasant and caring. Found course to be in great shape, despite all the rain we've had. Enjoy the layout and the golfing experience.

First time playing this course. Played the tips at 7071. Course was wet from the rain but still in great shape. Huge fairways and greens. Greens rolled well especially after some rain and still very early in the year. Every hole had its own uniqueness. Challenging golf course. Not much room for any bail out off the tee on some holes. Accuracy off the tee is everything at crooks creek. With some course knowledge you can play really well here. Good shots will be rewarded. It’s a must play!!

Cook's Creek 18Apr19
One of my favorite central Ohio public courses. Multiple memorable holes. Nice mix of long and short par 4's. Good changes in elevation. A very fun course to play. Tough course to walk. Looking forward to the next time I get to play.

The course was beautiful but the woman I dealt with at the front desk was very rude and had no respect for the customer.

Great Spring day at Cooks Creek
Had a wonderful day at CC with a close friend and bro n law. The weather was ideal at 74*, overcast and little wind. The greens were lightning fast, enjoyable and totally unexpected this early in the season. Always a treat to play this course!!!!

Great golf course
Really nice greens front was amazing the back had been (aerated but filled in nice) recently but still ok what a great layout and only 25$ wow

Great Value and Course
This was my second time playing this course and it was in great condition, especially for the time of year. With a lot of recent rain the bunkers were a little washed out but everything was great condition. The staff was very friendly, will definitely being playing here again:

Bout time to get out in March in Cols to play golf
A wonderful Spring day in Central Ohio along with a great rate and promo reward made for the perfect day on the links with my step Bro n Law. Temp started at noon around 40ish and warmed to about mid 50’s by 4. Sunshine and two gracious foursomes who encouraged our twosome to move on provided a wonderful pace of play for the two of us as we shared issues of our families and getting caught up while encouraging each other’s shots and sharing in our disappointments when a shot would Mis-fire... Cooks Creek was in great shape for the amount of rain recently experienced and the cart path only was understandable and while it may have slowed our pace it did not deminish the joy experienced.... I always look forward to a day at Cooks Creek...

One of my favorite tracks
I've played CC several times and have yet to be disappointed. We caught a nice day in Jan and decided to go out. CC was one of the few courses still open. For Jan, the course was in very good shape. Being in a flood plain, it's always prone to being pretty wet. But, aside from a few areas, the course was very playable. We will certainly be back for more rounds.

Great Course
This has always been one of the best courses in South Central Ohio. The layout is challenging, but very playable. Great staff and a great golf experience!
Stealing a day for golf in the Fall
Got to spend a day with my brother and step-Brother n law at cooks creek... the weather today compared to recent and following days to be was ideal. The Back nine was ideal, the front nine was airated last week and still healing from that process, but was still appreciated.. cooks creek is always a looked forward to track and we were not disappointed.
