My Very nice and way cool playing buddie Craig from ohio Photo submitted by DavidLaDuke on 07/22/2015
Beautiful course, but challenging
This is head and shoulders above any other public course in Northwest Ohio. And that's not necessarily saying anything bad about other courses; Stone Ridge is just on a whole other level. The course is meticulously well maintained, and the layout is divine. However, it's not for your average hacker. This is a very difficult course. But the scenery and course conditions make it worth playing at least once.
A little bit of everything here
My title here is in respect to the layout which is very cool. I played the front 9 at 6:30pm and the holes you see from the clubhouse, you are thinking grassland, no trees, links style golf. But then on the 4th hole - long par 5 you have to keep it inside a shoot of tall mature trees for 500 yards plus. Then a par 3 over water with trees guarding the green around. Then it opens back up. You'd think the houses all around would make it target golfy but they are very far back from the course so no issues.
I hit a wall at 6th hole as a single but no worries I filled divots and soaked in the late evening sun.
For being able to see every shot in front of you, still expect some uneven lies as mounds galore all over the place. Conditions were perfect, tee boxes, fairways and greens, all very lush. Go play this course, you'll like it.
Favorite in Toledo
In the greater Toledo area, solid GC's are far and few in between. This is without a doubt the nicest and best course open to the public. Art Hills is the man.
Fun course to play
Some fall maintenance, fairway plugging, but did not spoil an enjoyable late fall round... no time to test amenities
Great Again
Course was in good shape. Tough summer for grass. Best course in NW Ohio.
Outstanding round of golf
Beautiful course, friendly and helpful staff, a gem for NWOH
Great Course....will play again when in the area
The nicest course I have played in NW Ohio. Challenging shots from the tee and also almost every approach shot needed to be placed well. Played the Blue tees and was able to brake 90 but just barely. There are a lot o blind shots and having never played the course before was not sure where I could miss safely... Overall condition was superb with nice fast greens. Will be back
Course-Plus Staff-Negative
Attitude of the staff, particularly behind counter and starter, is enough to make me play elsewhere in town! Telling people what tees they should be playing, not knowing the individuals, is ridiculous. In case the starter sees this, you told me I shouldn't be on the tips, course is playing 7,300 yards today. Well, I shot 77 from the tips, with wind, rain, and no roll!! Birdied the #1 handicapped hole! Enjoyed the course, not the staff!
good course
One of the better courses in NW Ohio. Greens were in good shape despite our drought this summer.
Always a great time!
Had a little more brown than i expected but it also has only rained a few times this summer. Greens were rolling good and were moderately fast. Use golf now and you can save about 50% on regular rates.
Nice course
The course was was good, and the clubhouse, locker rooms and grill were nice.
Best course in OHIO!
Fast greens, firm fairways, this is how golf should be played! A Scottish-links style layout that is always in awesome shape. Staff is friendly and appreciative of guests. I highly recommend playing Stone Ridge.
Thank you for your feedback! Glad you loved the course and the staff made your experience memorable.
Best Public Course in NW Ohio
I have played Stone Ridge three times this year and each time, I walk away saying, "This is the best public Course in NW Ohio." The layout is nothing short of awesome. Off the tee, its fairly wide-open but most days the Bowling Green breeze takes away that advantage. The course is fair and fun and the greens get quick this time of year. I highly recommend this place.
Awesome! Thank you for the recommendation. So glad you loved the layout and consider us to be the best public course in NW Ohio. We love our fans. See you again real soon!
Classic Arthur Hills Design
This course is beautiful and challenging from start to finish. If you are looking for a wide open course to spray balls on, this is not for you. There is plenty of danger that exists out there.
This course is always in phenomenal shape. One of the best "bang for your buck" courses in Northwest Ohio. Easily the best public course in the Toledo Metro area.
The course plays tough, yet fair. A shot makers course, it would serve you well to think about your approaches into the greens here.

Always nice
this course is challenging, and great value for the money
Thanks for your 5 star review! Happy to hear you had an excellent round with a bit of a challenge!
Firm greens, nice fairways, rude staff
The greens are way too firm in the mid to late summer time, you land a ball on the front of the green and it rolls over. The fairways, bunkers, and rough were in great condition. There is a restaurant with great food but the staff was very slow when it got busy. Overall the course is nice and it was mostly a good experience.
Thank you for your review. We would appreciate it if you could email us some more details about your experience in regards to customer service at stoneridgeteetimes@aol.com, so that we may address with our staff and improve.
slick greens
Large, rolling, slick greens and wide open fairways are the hallmarks of this well laid out and well-maintained tract. The openness of the course reduces definition and makes targeting your drives more of a challenge.
Thank you for your excellent review! We look forward to your next round with us!
Nice challenging links style course fro area!
Recommend Blue tees for good to average golfer!
Challenges you to not use driver on several par 4's
Thank you for your review, and for sharing your tips! We hope to see you back for another round soon!
Great condition
Course is in great condition, greens were fast but true.
Thank you for your great review! We look forward to your next tee time with us!
Nice course but poor pace of play and not customer-friendly
This is the fourth time I've played this course and every time I've played it, the pace of play has been poor. The pro shop paired myself (7 handicap) and another player, with 2 high school beginners and put us off behind 2 high school foursomes of the same ability as the players they paired us with. It took us 5 1/2 hours to play 18 holes. Definitely not acceptable. The course is also not friendly to walkers. I would have preferred to walk with this pace of play, but the price is the same as using a golf cart. Of course, the high school players walked and received a discount.
It's a great course, but the management may be more interested in income opposed to catering to customers spending a good amount of money. This has happened on more than one occasion so I will not be returning and will advise my friends to do the same.
Thank you for your review. We appreciate your feedback and I assure you we take it very seriously. We would appreciate it if you would email us with some more details and suggestions at stoneridgeteetimes@aol.com. We would like to offer you a promotional code to use toward your next round with us in gratitude.
Glad you loved the course and facility! See you again.
