A at Seneca Golf Course

The course conditions are really good almost excellent.

The course being 3, nine hole courses was a bit confusing. The signs other there than #1 don't say which nine you are on, so there are a couple cart paths that can get confusing. 19 birdies app was confused also, lol

But, all in all its really a beautiful conditions course.

The tee times are close together , but with 3 nines, its not terribly slow.

If you haven't played Seneca recently, the multi-phase renovations have completely elevated this track. It has successfully shed its tired "muni" reputation to become one of the best public values in Northeast Ohio.

Condition: Excellent. The fairways are lush, and the greens are rolling fast, true, and smooth.

The Layout: Sprawling and classic. The mature, tree-lined fairways demand accurate driving, and the small, well-bunkered greens force you to be precise with your approach shots. The addition of five tee boxes makes it highly playable for all skill levels.

Amenities: The new driving range is top-tier for a warm-up. The clubhouse and Back Nine Grille are still a bit no-frills, but perfect for a quick, cold post-round beer.

Pace of Play: Expect a classic public course weekend grind (4.5+ hours) if you play during peak times, but early morning or mid-week rounds move beautifully.

Never played here before but from what I hear the Metroparks did their thing and made this course a gem. Clubhouse needs updating but overall very nice!

What a shame- course is in great shape. We were a twosome sent off behind a 4-some (including a walker), 3-some and a single, in that order. The 2 groups ahead wouldn’t let the single play through until the 5th hole. After that, we never were given the opportunity to play through, even as one of the players in front of us was CLEARLY just learning. Once we made the turn, the 4-some finished and thought we were good to go. NOPE. The 3-some not only didn’t let us play through while we literally were sitting ON THE TEE BOX WITH THEM, but they decided to play multiple balls EACH on every hole from #12 on. Unacceptable, ridiculous and from what I understand typical of this course. No rangers enforcing pace. End of the day it took us over 5 hrs as a 2-some.

We’ve golfed this course as many times in the past prior to the Cleveland Metro Park taking it over. The 18 that we golfed was in good condition, and construction was underway for the additional 18. Can’t wait to play that new one soon. The driving range is an extra perk. First class clubhouse with some great swag and a fully stocked bar. We’ll definitely be back.

Staff is rude, grounds keepers where on our butts the whole round. I’ve played other courses and there never this intrusive. Giant running lawn mower less than 5 ft from me just blankly staring at me. Tried to wave them off, just ignored us and kept interrupting our game.

Been 15 years since I’ve played here. The course was beautiful. The rangers are super nice. The bar and clubhouse workers were awesome. I’ll def be back soon. I’d recommend this course to anyone.

There were too many golfers. Very slow play.

Somehow are very difficult, which is OK.
