Woodland Golf Club
About
Woodland Golf Club's secluded site in Cable has helped the course to remain one of the area's best secrets. It is often not busy, but it is not for lack of a good round. The course sprawls across gently rolling hills dotted with sparkling lakes and ponds. There are also babbling creeks that meander through the course. The layout features a variety of fairways, ranging from some that are watered and others that are tight and tree-lined. Half of the holes were carefully carved from the mature woodlands. The large, well manicured greens putt fast and true. In addition to the golf course, Woodland G.C. also offers a driving range and putting green for golfers to use.

We miss the trees!
This course is still one of my top 5 in central Ohio even though the emerald ash borer had killed a lot of trees that made this one of the most beautiful courses as well as one of the best layouts. Greens were a bit slow, but not a problem.
The course was in great shape!
Beautiful course with plush green fairways and nice greens.
a gem
have wanted to play this course for yrs.a gem in the countryside!!!!
Beautiful trees and superb staff
Woodland earns its name with plenty of trees that are both beautiful to look at and challenging to navigate. Absolutely the friendliest manager (Kyle) and staff anywhere. I've never had so much fun in a clubhouse after the round!!
I had a great time
A very nice course to play, people are friendly and the greens are smooth.
Played there for years and will continue.
Always play with friends at Woodlawn because it offers a friendly challenge for everyone
Great Course
Loved it. Opted to play off the back tees to get some practice in with woods on the second short. Course is a bit short off the other tees but plays longer than it says because of the rolling hills.
Greens very challenging and in great condition. Fairways in excellent shape, despite all the recent rain.
Definitely will play here again
Great course layout with lots of character
We try to get here at least twice a year, even though it's almost an hour away due to the course itself.
It has good elevation changes (not much of that in Columbus Ohio) and very mature trees as well as a very nice layout.
Much better than the average rural golf course. Greens have always been in good condition even during summer droughts and very wet times. Some tee shots need to be accurate to score well.
It's a good test of golf.
Awesome!
Out of all the courses in my area, this is my favorite coarse of all hands down!
Long Drive for Long Wait
Cable looks like a drivable distance from Columbus on a map, but it takes longer than you think. The course sports rolling hills and is well designed. The hazards are actually where you are trying to land your ball.
Best hole is par five #6 where you have to take it between or over 2 lakes on the drive , then shoot uphill as the fairway doglegs right to a downslope, then a short wedge across a creek to the green.
Many holes can hurt the average golfer (I was 6 over handicap).
Many old trees have been cut down but there are still plenty left.
When we got there, we saw that golfers were on every visible hole and they were not fast golfers. Can't say I enjoyed the four and a half hour round length.
So, If you want to play a hilly well designed course and don't mind taking your time, Woodland is for you.
Older course over rolling terain that puts hitting fairways and greens at a premium
This is an older course but still very challenging. The fairways are narrow and the rough difficult, so getting your tee shot in play is a must. Positioning off the tee is also very important as not only are there are some nice elevation changes, but nice shapes to the holes. The greens are not overly big and have good undulations to them. Not only does this make it very hard to get up and down, putting is also put to the test.
Beautiful course, well worth the drive
Tucked in the midst of working farms, Woodland is a beautifully-maintained course: tournament-ready. Tree maintenance is ongoing, done in such a way that play is not affected at all. We'll be back.
Fun course
If narrow, hilly fairways on a relatively short course are your cup of tea, you will enjoy this experience. Course management is must have mentality to score well. The "grip it and rip it" player can have succes, of course, but trouble is really trouble here. The water areas are sometimes tough to catch from the tee box, so if you don't map the course beforehand, pay close attention to the hole maps on the course and scorecard. The greens had been aerated a few days before we played, so they were tough, but the sloping nature of the area are really what made the greens challenging. This is a fun course and my playing partners and I are looking forward to playing it again when the trees are full. We are certain it will add to the intimidation level
Tight Course Needs attention
We have always enjoyed playing at woodland. It is know for a very wooded course, but we noticed they are cutting down almost all of there trees very sad to see. It takes away from the course design.
