About
The Harbor Pines Golf Club is a public facility that boasts an 18-hole, four-star golf course with subtle, breaking greens that provide a challenge for all golfers. The holes are very private and the fairways are wide and open.
The environment friendly course is a local favorite and is considered among women to be one of the best courses for women to play on. The beautiful natural landscape with seventeen acres of water and 520 acres of forestry has even been certified as an National Audubon Sanctuary. The relatively flat course does offer challenges for experienced golfers but it will not be too difficult for intermediate or beginning golfers. Both the 16th and 17th holes are difficult par-4's and the course has various hazards scattered throughout.

Too slow. A lot of Rangers driving around but did not speed up pace of
play.
Play it!
Well kept fairways and greens. Staff very friendly and helpful. Second time we played the course and will go back again!
Nice Course on an Extremely Hot Day
The staff all-around the course were very friendly and accommodating. I went to play just to get out of the casinos for a few hours. I was by myself and I was supposed to be teamed up with a twosome, but as of 15 minutes before our tee time, they still did not show up. There was plenty of room between a foursome in front of me for me to start, so the starter sent me out by myself. I did manage to catch up to the foursome in front of me as they were leaving the 2nd green. And I waited on them throughout the round, but it was such a hot, humid day (close to 95) that I didn't mind parking under a tree and sit in the shade to try and stay cool.
The course has some long holes (especially for a woman, but other than the length, the course was moderately difficult. Plenty of trees lining the course and some water, so hit them straight.
Only problem we had was we couldn't bring the golf cart on the fairways. The fairways were dry and play was help up due to that. I won't play again if we can bring golf carts on the course.

Tough course for great value
The course is kept in great shape but p e of play always seems to be slow. Two of us came out for 9 holes and it took 2:45 because there were two slow groups that we caught on number five that would not pair up or let us play through

Good course; Great Greens
I’m vacationing from Chicago for the 25th year in a row. We always play several of the courses surrounding Egg Harbor Township. We played Harbor Pines at 3:00 on the 4th of July. 1 group in front, and 1 behind. Played in less than 2 hours for the nine holes. Course was in great shape. Greens and bunkers are some of the best in the area. Very quick but hold well. Staff were all professional, welcoming and helpful.
Couple of negatives: the driving range was closed, couldn’t hit balls before the round, I’m old and need more warm up time.
Price is also a concern. Over $100 a round for these courses is the current going rate but nowhere near the quality and detail to $40 to $75 courses in other parts of the country.
All in all, Harbor Pines does a good job of running a quality business and I recommend the course as one of the best near the OC shore.
