Harbor Pines Golf Club
About
The Harbor Pines Golf Club is a public facility that boasts an 18-hole, four-star golf course with subtle, breaking greens that provide a challenge for all golfers. The holes are very private and the fairways are wide and open.
The environment friendly course is a local favorite and is considered among women to be one of the best courses for women to play on. The beautiful natural landscape with seventeen acres of water and 520 acres of forestry has even been certified as an National Audubon Sanctuary. The relatively flat course does offer challenges for experienced golfers but it will not be too difficult for intermediate or beginning golfers. Both the 16th and 17th holes are difficult par-4's and the course has various hazards scattered throughout.

Mismanaged and entitled employees
Ignorant staff, moldy muffins, overbooked, 50 mins behind on tee time, over 5 hrs to play the course and we had skipped the last hole(there was a group on green, 4 on the fairway and 4 waiting to tee). By far the absolute worst experience we've ever had on a course.
Great staff - Nice course
Course was in good shape, well taken care of. We played the day after heavy rain so it was cart path only and fairways were a bit water logged. Staff from top to bottom was perhaps the friendliest I’ve encountered at a golf course. Back 9 course layout left a bit to be desired. Seemed like same straight away par 4 almost every hole. All in all great course and would play again, although I’m not sure it was worth the $123 green fee.
Great Balance
Course design is terrific. Generally wide open fairways and well manicured greens. Challenging but fair design allows opportunity to recover from occasional poor shot. If you play here you should have a good short game since there a lots of deep green side bunkers. If you can’t avoid them plan on adding a few stokes to your scores
Cart path only
Pace was very slow; 5 hours due to cart path only. Ranger asked us once to pick up the pace when there was no where to go. Booked through Golf Now which won’t allow a refund unless you cancel 24 hours in advance. But cart path only was decided the morning that we were scheduled to play. So we had no choice but to play. Might try it again just to be fair. But today was not fun.
Course in great shape for the amount of play
Course is great but the players that you're paired up with need to follow etiquette rules. Talking in a person's back swing, walking or standing in your line. Moving the cart when a person is set to play. Not parking half on and half off a cart path.
All the above degrades the game or conditions.
Late start.
Teeed off 30 minutes past scheduled tee time which was frustrating. Course in reasonably good shape and I have always liked the layout. If you play here, I suggest an early tee time.
Nice Course, Rigid Staff
We generally enjoyed our round. A low point, however, was that we were there early and, when no one was teeing off for about half an hour, we asked to go early. They said no. Because we were playing on a discounted GolfNow tee time, we would have to wait until our time. We sat in our carts by the first tee for 45 minutes seemingly to punish us for having a discounted tee time. Even my objection to the office was rejected and the normal courtesy, as well as efficiency, of getting a ready group on the course took a back seat to some need to let us know we were second class citizens. Hopefully the GolfNow people will let courses know not to do this. I’ve not seen it before and hope not to see it again.
