Harbor Pines Golf Club
About
The Harbor Pines Golf Club is a public facility that boasts an 18-hole, four-star golf course with subtle, breaking greens that provide a challenge for all golfers. The holes are very private and the fairways are wide and open.
The environment friendly course is a local favorite and is considered among women to be one of the best courses for women to play on. The beautiful natural landscape with seventeen acres of water and 520 acres of forestry has even been certified as an National Audubon Sanctuary. The relatively flat course does offer challenges for experienced golfers but it will not be too difficult for intermediate or beginning golfers. Both the 16th and 17th holes are difficult par-4's and the course has various hazards scattered throughout.

Harbor Pines
Got a golf now hot deal to play Harbor Pines for $52 which is a good deal. One issue is at the greens were punched (Aerated) so it was very hard to putt. Harbor Pines usually has very very awesome greens unfortunately this time maintenance had occurred it’s a necessary evil but I guess it would’ve been nice to know before going. Might have tried to play somewhere else instead
Members Have No Etiquette
I was a single. The first problem was the greens were aerated recently, but there was no advisory on the webpage. Then I caught up to a foursome around the third hole. They wouldn’t let me play through. It wouldn’t have been so bad, but they were reading putts like they were playing at the Masters. Again, the greens were aerated...Then l skipped a half a hole to pass them. That’s when l saw another single. I’m hey, maybe we’ll play together. Nope. I’m forced to wait on him for three holes. And to make matters worse he’s reading greens like he’s at the Masters. Remember, the greens are aerated... He FINALLY asked, begrudgingly, if l wanted to pass. Not join him, pass. So much for a social and courteous sport at this course. It had me so frustrated l couldn’t concentrate and enjoy my round anymore. I stopped keeping score and just turned it into a practice round. I’d hadn’t played this course in about 10 years, because it just didn’t impress me. The conditions are good, minus the aeration, but the holes are blah... blah... blah... You know how there’s always one or two holes that make you say- this is an awesome hole - nope, not one. l could not see myself coming back here again. The members should be ashamed of themselves. Oh, and l almost forgot - you can’t ride your cart to the driving range. You have to either carry your bad over or just a few clubs. And then even though the grass looked awesome, you had to hit off the mats. AYFKM!
Nice course
Course in good shape which not the normal this year . Pace slow, almost 5 hour round. While greens airsted still quick and fairly true.
Great course, i just wish the conditions were better
This course is well maintained and very nice. The only minor issues i had was due to rain 2 days prior it was cart path only, which slowed up the rate of play a bit. I cannot blame them for mother nature though. The main issue was the greens were being aerated because it was a week between tournaments. That is understandable though. I would really like to play the course when under ideal conditions because everything was great minus those two minor issues.
Harbor pines, excellent course.
A great golf course to play. Fairways and greens in excellent shape. The pace of play was also very good. We finished the round in just under 4 hours. The staff was also very accommodating. Just a fun place to play a round of golf.
A Bargain
Course is in great condition, however, greens have been recently aerated. It was not a great day weather wise, so, the course was practically all ours.
A wonderful day of golf!!
Course was being aerated while we played. Course really needs to notify golfers when aerating conditions exist.
Had to play the back nine twice due to aeration o f tje front. Cart path only because of wet conditions. Disappointing but understandable.
Impressive
Course is very well kept. Landscape is gorgeous. Pretty challenging greens. smooth and tough to read. For me the pit stop facilities were in the right places.
5 hour and 50 minute pace of play!!!!!
We finished the front 9 in 2 hours and 55 minutes... we didn’t see the ranger once to help move pace of play in front of us or at the very minimum communicate that it looks like it’s going to be a long round and apologize for the delays.
Not only did we not get any sort of communication or apology but when we went to the club house after 9 they were completely unapologetic and called us liars, saying “that is not possible.”
We paid $100+ each for 18 holes, only played 9 because we didn’t expect to be out there for almost 6 hours and were called lairs.
So if you’re looking for a course that has zero pace of play, where you can spend hours trekking in the woods, looking for your ball, and then act like you’re on tour on the greens, then this is the place for you.
Save yourself the headache and go to Ballamor
Nice round
Front nine was a little slow and wet bag name was awesome always enjoy the Course when I come down to South Jersey
Fun but soaked
The course layout and maintenance were great, however the storm that came through during the early morning left everything saturated for most of our round. The collected water on the course also closed the range so we showed up extra early for no reason, but we were able to start a few minutes before our tee time. Overall it was an enjoyable round and I am looking forward to going back on a dryer day.
Good Time
Nice course and conditions. We paired up with 2 course rangers (John & Jim) who very fun to play with...still didn't help my game :-) Look forward to playing again!
Please read this before you golf here on a Saturday!!
I had a tee time booked for 11:44 AM Saturday, Oct 18th. The price for a mid day saturday round was 117$, expensive but not crazy for a saturday in the Acy area. They booked up right after a league and tournament and between the tournament and another group of 20 behind us. The front nine took 3 hours and 30 minutes to complete. On hole 5, the ranger put a twosome ahead of us from a league, and this further slowed things up. He apologized and left it at that. He also said he would work on getting us a voucher for 9 holes. I am going overseas for the military in 5 days so this doesn't really help. I asked if due to the ridiculously slow play, and horrible service of putting more people ahead of us when it had already been over two hours for 5 holes due to being in the middle of a tournament if we could receive a refund or something, and received nothing. Note to the management, and specifically the head pro. If you are a course worthy of charging 120$, advise people when booking their tee times that they are in between large groups or following a league. If you cannot maintain a decent pace, don't overbook like this. This round was likely my last in a while and it was wrecked by the poor planning of the staff, and furthermore wrecked by the staffs lack of care and absolutely no follow up. The course itself was in pretty good shape and the greens ran true, but due to the horrendous care by the staff, I would advise you to spend the extra money and go enjoy AC country club, or somewhere in far better shape with a staff that cares and where you can play 9 holes in under 3 and a half hours. Shame on this course.
