Harbor Pines Golf Club
About
The Harbor Pines Golf Club is a public facility that boasts an 18-hole, four-star golf course with subtle, breaking greens that provide a challenge for all golfers. The holes are very private and the fairways are wide and open.
The environment friendly course is a local favorite and is considered among women to be one of the best courses for women to play on. The beautiful natural landscape with seventeen acres of water and 520 acres of forestry has even been certified as an National Audubon Sanctuary. The relatively flat course does offer challenges for experienced golfers but it will not be too difficult for intermediate or beginning golfers. Both the 16th and 17th holes are difficult par-4's and the course has various hazards scattered throughout.

Excellent Jersey shore course
The course was in excellent condition, especially considering the height of Summer in mid-August. Greens smooth and true; fairways and tee boxes also very good. Pace was great, as we played as a 3 some in 3 1/2 hours and the course was full.
Irresponsible policy
I just don't understand a course in New Jersey where there is no indoor dining, a state with a conservative approach to Covid, with a Pro Shop that has a mandatory mask policy and plexiglass between me and the pro shop cashier and they tell me as a single golfer if my tee has three other golfers they are going to force me to ride a cart with a complete stranger. Ridiculous, and I have played a dozen other courses in Pa and Jersey with no problem getting a cart for myself. Fortunately todays round was a threesome but I canceled my tee time for tomorrow and will spend my $98 elsewhere. Won't be back even when hopefully covid is history. I will also be forwarding this courses policy to the state.
Nice looking course but rained out
We got to the course and the heavens opened up cancelling our round. The staff was friendly and gave us a full refund. How do I get a refund on the $4.98 fee charged by Golfnow?
Excellent course but very slow pace of play.
I have no doubt that this is great course and well maintained. However it is very slow pace. It is so ridiculous that it took 6 hours for 18 holes on Monday. If pace of play is always slow like today. I won’t recommend this course to my friends. Sorry.
Very rude and unprofessional service
I was playing solo at 1128am, I called to confirm with Ian 2 hours prior to my arrival. I pulled into find a logjam at bag drop with Marty , I was right on time but slowed by a broken toe, yet I managed to place my own bag on the stand through the crowd . Simultaneously, I inform Marty that I am 1128, and he then berates me in front of 4-6 other players. "Everybody waits for you" he said . I honestly thought that he was joking, but it was my much anticipated first trip to Harbor Pines and I realized that he wasn't. After being ignored, I walked inside to reaffirm my payment and explain the inappropriate greeting. After being ignored, I venture out to find that my group was sent out early and already on 2nd tee stuck playing behind a five-some. There was no starter, and I have a pretty good idea who was responsible for the total disarray .
Very nice course, hornet nests were on holes 6 and 13 which was surprising, otherwise appropriate pace of play and no major issues.
Nice course but very slow
This is a nice course. Today was cart path only after a rainstorm. However, rangers just did nothing to maintain pace of play. Had to leave on the 16th after 4.5 hours.
Great Course with a great atmosphere. Maybe it was just today and the golfers in front of us but we found ourselves always waiting. Not sure if they just packed us in or the golfers in front of us were just slow, but we were always waiting at last 10-15 minutes at the Tee box because there was one group at the green and another in the middle of the course.
Aside from that overall great course, not extremely challenging, but easy enough to be fun for beginner golfers.
