Pickaway Country Club
About
Pickaway Country Club is known for its welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. Jack Kidwell, a local architect who designed this course and many others in Central Ohio, utilized his familiarity with the terrain but still kept each golf course distinct. Pickaway has an interesting layout that will test your shot-making abilities and strategy with narrow fairways lined with trees and small, fast greens that are difficult to read. Water hazards come into play on five holes and there are nearly 50 bunkers strategically placed throughout. There is one particularly difficult par-5 hole that requires a 250-yard drive over a meandering creek. Although the golf course offers a fair amount of challenges, they are balanced by a number of wide-open fairways that have ample space.

Terrible
Major disrepair. It sucks .. the tee boxes suck, several fairways suck, bunkers are horrible, and the greens suck. I'll never play there again.
It sucks
When I played Pickaway C.C. on the first of May (2021) the course sucked.. Nearly all the tee boxes sucked (tall grass) several of the fairways sucked, the greens sucked (many were still blighted from last season), and the bunkers sucked (unplayable),. I'll never play there again ... because IT SUCKED !!
Fun
Its a shorter course but the smaller size greens will keep you very modest with how fast and undulating they are. As well as some tight dog leg fairways it makes for a good, relaxing, fun day.
Great late March day on the links
There are about 3 areas at Pickaeay GC where you have to concentrate on what hole you are playing for fear you will tee off on the wrong hole and before you know it you are out of sequence and on a busy day, you cannot get back into the order of foursomes. Just beware and make sure you are on the right tee box. The course is in great shape and the staff are wonderful... I love the rolling hills and spruce tree setting. The course has a challenging layout and is in a beautiful setting near Circleville. Golfnow always is running some reasonable pricing making the travel well worth the effort.
Birthday was great on the links
Spent a great day at Pickaway CC with my Bro, step bro n law and one of my closest friends. The weather was ideal; sunny maybe 74*, little wind.... the course was fine. Some of the greens have experienced some spotty non grass areas, some of the tee boxes had some weeds taking over and the traps look like someone made an attempt to groom them. The traps had little sand in them. Overall I was pleased with the course and pace of play, which is all I could ask for.
District practice
Played here only because of practicing for districts. 2 man scramble started 45 minutes before our t time. Had to wait until all of them teed off before we could. No mention of this scramble on golf now. Our golf cart pulled too the left and seemed to have a mind of its own. What a joke of a driving range!!!
Need course knowledge
We had a threesome today. Course was not busy, so pace of play was not an issue. We had been here several years ago,, but still found the course routing to be somewhat confusing in some areas. A couple blind tee shots to a pond at the bottom of a hill. Greens were OK, fairways and area around greens could use some help in places. Apparently some old bunkers have been abandoned and that area was worse than being in a bunker.
Easy course to walk
Because the holes are so close, the course is very easy to walk. Some holes have Tee boxes hitting as you go to the next hole. #9 is a blind shot off the tee and #18 if you hit it long, you will go into the lake. I will definitely play this course again.
