not going back
I booked here because some mild January weather had my local municipal courses booked solid. The price for riding was cheap. It had rained last week and prior to the milder weather, things had frozen at night. The course was thawing and extremely muddy. Many tee boxes had no grass where the marker were placed. Very wet conditions but i got to play in January in New Jersey without freezing. I can't imagine what this course is like in mid season.

Good enough for price
Course condition including green wasn't that good, but I enjoyed the well-designed and challenging layout. I would like to play here again in the spring and summer season.

Played this course years ago
I wasn't expecting much. It's an older course that could be so much better if they put money/ effort into it. I know this iscoming off a little negative and I really don't mean to be. However, I played this course many years ago and it was in better shape. That is above and beyond factoring in the time of year with the leaves falling. I will try it again in the late spring to see if I am being unfair or not.

Course is looking so much better than it was over the summer months. Came back this weekend and honestly was so surprised and this was right after we heard they aerated the greens last week. which is good to hear! Course was having a tough go in August and this time around you could never tell. Greens were in such better shape/ fairways were also full and green again. Got some leaves falling now but thats fall golf. Beautiful with the trees changing. Staff is always very friendly, just a great day for golf especially in October.

Probably one of the worst kept courses I’ve ever played. It’s a real shame because it has a very nice layout. The greens are atrocious, crab grass growing through some of the greens, bare spots , some tee boxes are just mud no grass. Bridges look like their falling to the point you’ll think twice before driving over them, if you play in the morning the greens aren’t rolled or leafs cleared until late morning so you’ll be putting through piles of leafs. Still scratching my head how they charge $60 on weekends. I’ve played there a few times on GN hot deals for $26 and even that’s too much to play in those conditions. Horrible . On the other hand staff is great, but that about the only good thing about the course.

Never again
It was a waste of money and time. Never again. We came out after 9 holes.
Honestly do not know what one would expect from a public golf course. Minebrook has made improvements in their greens and sand traps over the 2022 season. Playing preferred lies, or "winter rules" greatly helps the experience. Please don't expect perfection.
