Poor conditions and pace.
Five hour round on a Monday. Tee boxes and fairways in very poor condition (and there was a LOT of mud and standing water). The greens hadn't been cut recently, and were probably the slowest I've ever played. In good conditions, this is not a great course, but today it didn't even reach a marginal standard.

Course does have great features; not real long; some challenging holes but overall it is a fair and enjoyable course for the average golfer.
I have been playing this course for about 33 years. For a public course, it is an above average course. You will not find many or any golf courses that are in this condition and priced as reasonably as this course in this area of NJ. I am constantly getting matched up with individuals who come from throughout NJ to play on this course. The condition of the course has improved over the last year as the fairly new Superintendent has done a very good job. The entire staff led by General Manager, Rob Armstrong, are extremely friendly and courteous. I love the course and became a member this year for $2,000 for the year.

The worst conditions I’ve ever played.
There was NOTHING good about this round. Teed off 20 minutes late and had a 5 hour round at 7am on Saturday. The fairways were chewed up to the point you cannot distinguish what’s rough and whats fairway (lost a few balls legitimately in the middle of the fairway) Weeds on the greens, where there was actually grass; some lacked that as well, overgrown trees impeding the fairways. Honestly, would give this course zero stars if possible. Save your time and your money and avoid this one.

Minebrook review
Quality of greens and bunkers were in poor condition. Greens had clumps of cram grass and grass was cut too high

Course not bad
Course not bad but greens are not great. Weeds etc.

Really Showing Improvements
Course is really improving over these last few years. It’s definitely getting there. The bunkers have some weeds but not the end of the world at all. Pace of play was a bit slower but expected on a weekend morning. Overall enjoyable round, will be back! Keep up the good work.
