Fast pace and great value for the money.
For $25.95 and a 3 1/2 hour round, it's hard to beat. Course is fairly flat and easy, but it was kept pretty well and the pace of play was great. Greens were slow, but it was a 6:30am tee time. I would do it again for this price.
great value
The course is great in terms of value and length. The pace of play should have been enforced due to the amount of people on the course. They are in the middle of fixing tee boxes and fairways right now so it should be a good experience when all is taken care of.
Tee Boxes are in horrible shape
I played in light rain condition but there is no excuses to be hitting out of a muddy tee box. The course is a home course of golf group that I belong to. This round I played with a buddy. But, there were already grumbling within the group about the condition of this course. My group will golf at this course next week. I foresee the discontent for this course is going to get worse.
Most good, some VERY bad spots
Played for $10. Overall the course was in maintained condition, but they were working on numerous tee boxes when i was there. One par three was reduced to, literally, a 40 yard hole. The spots that needed work, were horrendous (mud, tire tracks, etc) but that was only 10% of those course and none of the greens. i would play it again without worry.
Fairways need more attention
Conditions were somewhat poorer than what is normal for this course
Par 3 Tee Boxes Under Repair
What they don't tell you upon booking is that the vast majority of this short course's Par 3 tee boxes are completely under repair... This means that all tee boxes play as the ladies tees...... the always short 6th played as 79 yards (with the pin in the back!!!!!!). I was so furious about the tee boxes I couldn't even begin to be angry about the weeds in the greens. Not even worth the GolfNow discounted rate during the week, let alone the weekend rate. Splurge for Bowling Green or any of the Crystal Springs courses.. or if you are golfing on a budget, Farmstead offers a MUCH better course for the $$$. I will not be golfing here anymore after this, and this is the course I played religiously 3 years ago when I first started.
Good course, but expensive
Good course, but value is not good, too expensive compared to other local courses.
Not a bad play
Minebrook is a decent course to play. I don't think it's special by any means, but it's kept in good enough shape that you can enjoy a round of golf here without paying too much money.
Course needs a good bit of maintenance
The course itself was in pretty bad shape, no sand in the traps and lots of chopped up fairways
Very good. Front 9 wide open, back 9 more challenging, with tighter fairways and much morre hilly.
This is a nice course. I'm about a 24 handicapper, and found the course to be fair and fun. The front 9 was very wide open and easier. The back 9 was more challenging. Over all the course was good, well maintained, and staff was good-rangers were ever present and kept golfers moving along. The course has a tendency to hold water. Even though it hasn't rained much in several days, one or two fairways were muddy, and greens were very slow.
Course was a very good value for the money. They included breakfast and lunch with the green fees.
Greens, fairways and traps were well maintained. However, the tee boxes needed some work as they were barren and uneven in some places. The layout of the course is interesting with valley and mountain holes on the 18 holes.
Had a great time
Could use a little work in a few of the fairways but overall a pretty good time. The rangers were very friendly and a couple of them helped out with ball location in the ruff. Great weather as well! We will return for another round.
This course is well managed.
This course was by far one of the best course we've played,
Each holes have a good view of the golf course, different fun and challenging
The two to three holes give players the chance to ease into the round.
Not Expensive but Better Similar Priced Options Out there
There are many holes that I like on this course in terms of structure and style, however that was about it for the positives. The course in total is too compact. This "scares" both the single handicapper to 30+ handicapper. For the high handicapper, there must be 6-10 holes where if you shank, pull, or slice (not even drastically), you can kill someone on the next tee box or green. If you are an almost pro, there are probably over 6 shots in which you would be hitting over a different hole's green or fairway again adding to the danger. Even after the 18th hole, a slight overhit by the group behind us just missed me in the parking lot.
Beyond that, greens were GREAT especially for this time of year. However, fairways were from poor to below average and tee boxes were probably the worst I have seen in NJ.
Great course but need to fix the cart road.
I had a great time with my friends.
courses was good and this course has good view in almost every hole.
but a guy made us angry when we finish our game.
he was a racist
Tough course and challenging, but fun.
Everything with my booking was handled with precision. Staff was friendly and the ranger even drove me to my car to get my back from my trunk of my car. The only thing that I didn't like was it was difficult trying to find my ball on the fairway under all the fallen leaves.
good price
T boxes really bad.thats it .what a dumb reason to knock down a review ill never do another
