About
Brookledge Golf Club sprawls across more than 120 acres of gently rolling hills and mature woodlands. The course is an Arthur Hills design and considered one of the finest public golf courses in northeast Ohio. Originally opened in 1988, the course later underwent a major renovation that included the installation of a new aeration system and the replacement of all the sand traps. The golf course is challenging with trees lining the fairways and framing the greens, leaving little room for error off the tees or on the approaches. The greens are subtly elevated and well protected by mounding and bunkers. Brookledge Golf Club's tricky putting surfaces have mild undulations that can cause subtle breaks in putts. Trees play a more prominent role on the back nine, especially on the closing holes.

Wonderful course
This has been a favorite course of mine, but this day the course was in way better condition than expected. Every green was very receiving of any shot that you wanted to stop quickly. The fairways and rough were in perfect condition. Even the tees were well manicured and not chopped up up like so many other courses in the area. If you want a great experience on the golf course you can't go wrong here.
Fun course
First time playing Brookledge and will come back again. The layout of the course was enjoyable with some open areas, some wooded with tighter fairways, and a few twists and turns (doglegs). The greens were receptive and rolled true. The fairways were in good condition and as long as you hit your marks the course was scoreable.
I had only 2 slight negatives - the weather, which is not controllable, and the annoying messages on the GPS carts. My cart was shutting down while we were on the cart path. Made for a jerky ride occasionally.
Overall a good experience and the price on GolfPass was affordable.

Nice course, good people, well cared-for
It was a picture perfect day, the course was in great shape. I could not believe how quick the greens were rolling for a public course. They weren't dry or hard, just well maintained.
The only drawback, very minor, was the foursome in front of us were ball-hawking, slow-moving and didn't offer my twosome the opportunity to play through. We still played 18 holes in 4.5 hours but it does get frustrating waiting at the tee box while 2 guys waddle into the woods to look for a ball, then one ends up dropping and hitting, then they drive to the partner's ball to hit.
Bless them for being out there at their age, I hope to still be playing in 25 years and my partner and I agreed that we won't be "those" guys.

Course good , starter great
Course was in good shape, Starter was a great guy. Young Girl working the desk probably the rudest person ever met at a golf course. Paying fees and then buying drinks at turn she was incredibly rude both times. I’m not thin skinned but she was terrible. Otherwise love the course

Played as a 4 some in just under 4 hours. The course was in fantastic shape. The greens rolled quick and true. The layout was fair to all, two played from the tips and two from the whites. I'm looking forward to my next round.

New Carts are too busy with messages. GPS is good.

Brookledge 6-17-23
Brookledge GC is in excellent condition. Greens are fast.
Pace of play is good at 4-1/2 hours. We had a foursome that caught up with a fivesome on back nine.
Like the new golf carts with GPS. Carts will stop from going forward if in restricted areas like tees and greens. You will have to back up the carts if in those areas. Brookledge may want to put some stakes to help identify those areas.

Staff is rude
People playing there are so nice, ironically the staff is very rude. Maybe because we are too nice!!!

Great municipal course
Course in wonderful condition with well kept fairways and smooth, fast greens. New carts with on board GPS are quiet . Sometimes hard to tell where boundaries for “no-go” areas are.

One of the best public courses in Ohio - Slow round
Brookledge is an Arthur Hills design. A great, fun layout that has its challenging holes. Course conditions are very very good, especially the greens. Course has an issue with booking and getting groups off the tee. 5 plus hour rounds are the norm. It’s a shame because the course is so good. If looking to golf under 5 hours go elsewhere, if you don’t mind waiting definitely play!

Great shape!
Course is in great shape and the new carts & GPS is pretty slick. Need to get the off limits area dialed in a bit better though as you should be able to go through some of those areas on par 3’s and closer to the greens, especially with how dry it’s been. When trying to have a relaxing day you don’t want to hear your cart beeping at you every 5 mins. Finished 18 in 3 hours and 45 mins. Highly recommend.👍🏼
