About
Brookledge Golf Club sprawls across more than 120 acres of gently rolling hills and mature woodlands. The course is an Arthur Hills design and considered one of the finest public golf courses in northeast Ohio. Originally opened in 1988, the course later underwent a major renovation that included the installation of a new aeration system and the replacement of all the sand traps. The golf course is challenging with trees lining the fairways and framing the greens, leaving little room for error off the tees or on the approaches. The greens are subtly elevated and well protected by mounding and bunkers. Brookledge Golf Club's tricky putting surfaces have mild undulations that can cause subtle breaks in putts. Trees play a more prominent role on the back nine, especially on the closing holes.

PreSeason golf
Greens were rolled and faster than I have ever seen them. Overall the course was in great shape for St. Patrick's Day. Absolutely perfect weather for this time of year.

The course isn't in its prestine condition yet, but the course was in great shape considering we are just out of the winter months. Even tho some of the greens had excessive ball marks and deer tracks, they still rolled true. If you haven't played, it's a great play.

One of the best courses in the area. Period.
While I am partial to Brookledge because I am a local; I also play a lot of golf. Brookledge continues to amaze me; especially for a city owned course. They are continuously enhancing the course to make the layout more challenging and more applicable for all year round play. The course drains better than most courses around, even after heavy rains (something golfers admire). Greens are always in great shape and very quick. Tee boxes are pristine. Some say it is too short?? Well, then play the blacks. Let me know how that works out for you.
Staff is always friendly and efficient. If there was any knock on Brookledge, I would say that I wish they had a bigger pro shop with a bar and grille inside. But again, I realize being a city course thats not realistic! But thats it. It never disappoints when I play. When avid golfer friends come in from out of town, there are a handful of courses they MUST play, and Brookledge is always in that list.
Glad this course is in my backyard. Can it be pricey during prime times? Sure. But you get what you pay for in the world of golf. keep up the great work!

Very Good Municipal Course
The course is very fair and if you hit it well you get rewarded with scoring opportunities. Greens were in good shape and held the ball on a late fall day.

Fall golf
Greens are excellent in spite of deer tracks, Leaves all gone. Fairways a little wet, but course is great for the amount of rain, and snow, we’ve had!

Extremely overpriced city course!
Many courses in the general vicinity of this course have closed over the past 5 years. Brookledge took advantage of being one of the remaining courses by ‘jacking up’ their prices! It cost my wife and I $48 to play 9 holes with a cart. What a shame that a city course charges that much! And they offer no discounts for seniors! I surely understand business opportunities, but this is too excessive in my opinion! My wife and I can play Chippewa golf course for a total of $44 (18 and a cart). And Chippewa is a much nicer course than Brookledge!

Heavy leaf drop
Due to overnight rain, there has been a heavy leaf drop which were very wet!
Difficult putting on several greens and finding balls even in the fairways, bunkers.
The greens otherwise were excellent..

Omg slow
The staff is superb and there's no exception to that. However when the nine-hole round takes three hours there are definite issues here. I always see the ranger on three four and five but never on the back nine. I know it's fall but today is 60 degrees and more of the leaves should have been taken care of.

Nice Cousre but no cart partitions
always liked playing there. great conditions with very difficult greens.
they had been allowing everyone to ride in individual carts at the start of covid, but began charging extra for that. since there are no partitions. we wont go back as long as they have this policy
