About
Brookledge Golf Club sprawls across more than 120 acres of gently rolling hills and mature woodlands. The course is an Arthur Hills design and considered one of the finest public golf courses in northeast Ohio. Originally opened in 1988, the course later underwent a major renovation that included the installation of a new aeration system and the replacement of all the sand traps. The golf course is challenging with trees lining the fairways and framing the greens, leaving little room for error off the tees or on the approaches. The greens are subtly elevated and well protected by mounding and bunkers. Brookledge Golf Club's tricky putting surfaces have mild undulations that can cause subtle breaks in putts. Trees play a more prominent role on the back nine, especially on the closing holes.

Also electric cars are quiet that's a plus , good driving range. , great staff , grade A
My go to course
Have lots of courses to choose from in a 20 min drive but go back to brookledge almost every time. Really awesome staff, terrific layout, could play here every week and never get tired of it.

Pace of play is almost alway a problem.
I would suggest adding a couple minutes between tee times...someone trying to hurt slow golfers.

Never Disappointed!!!
As always Staff and Course were both Great!! Starting with the friendly greeting at check-in, always friendly and well organized starters to the course that is always in Great Shape!!! I'm a frequent player at this course over the last couple years and have never been disappointed .

Worst run golf course in the area.
I had a tee time for 8:45. I called at 8 and asked if they were held up because of the cold the night before they said no come on out. The driving range was closed. I never teed off until 11am. It took 45 min to play 2 holes.
Frost or not, scheduling 8 min intervals for tee times in March is absolutely crazy. Then trying to launch all those tee times two hours late off the same 9 made it even worse.
Nothing was offered either, no sorry for the inconvenience, nothing.

Just a Wonderful Outing
My wife and I played nine, and we had a lovely time. It was a gorgeous day for what is definitely early Spring, and the course was definitely busy. Strangely enough the guys in front of us had a 9:45 time and I had booked a 9:48 time. I'm not exactly sure how that happened, and early on, we were literally right behind them. But, to be fair, they were also being held up by the group in front of them. Fortunately that didn't last too long. Around the third hole we seemed to separate from them. We would see them now and again, but overall, we were moving nicely along the course and we didn't have to wait long at most holes.
On the front nine, there are a few reminders that you're near the Cuyahoga River but water isn't much of an obstacle. The challenge mainly lies in the hilliness of the course, and you certainly have to rethink typical club selection. But it was the fun type of challenge, where you can put a little extra power into it and if the ball didn't exactly go where you wanted it to the consequences were fairly minimal and manageable. The grounds were well taken care of; the greens were fast (but the Starter told us before we went out and repeated it to every other group), and it was just great to be out there.

PreSeason golf
Greens were rolled and faster than I have ever seen them. Overall the course was in great shape for St. Patrick's Day. Absolutely perfect weather for this time of year.

The course isn't in its prestine condition yet, but the course was in great shape considering we are just out of the winter months. Even tho some of the greens had excessive ball marks and deer tracks, they still rolled true. If you haven't played, it's a great play.

One of the best courses in the area. Period.
While I am partial to Brookledge because I am a local; I also play a lot of golf. Brookledge continues to amaze me; especially for a city owned course. They are continuously enhancing the course to make the layout more challenging and more applicable for all year round play. The course drains better than most courses around, even after heavy rains (something golfers admire). Greens are always in great shape and very quick. Tee boxes are pristine. Some say it is too short?? Well, then play the blacks. Let me know how that works out for you.
Staff is always friendly and efficient. If there was any knock on Brookledge, I would say that I wish they had a bigger pro shop with a bar and grille inside. But again, I realize being a city course thats not realistic! But thats it. It never disappoints when I play. When avid golfer friends come in from out of town, there are a handful of courses they MUST play, and Brookledge is always in that list.
Glad this course is in my backyard. Can it be pricey during prime times? Sure. But you get what you pay for in the world of golf. keep up the great work!

Very Good Municipal Course
The course is very fair and if you hit it well you get rewarded with scoring opportunities. Greens were in good shape and held the ball on a late fall day.
