Delaware Golf Club
About
Delaware Golf Club sprawls across rolling countryside that lends an idyllic and secluded setting. Donald Ross designed the original nine holes in 1922 and they were later joined by a second nine designed by Michael Hurzdan in 1998. The layout meanders through wooded valleys and ravines. The rolling fairways are fairly wide but they are lined with mature trees and bunkers heavily guard the small, undulating greens. There are also water hazards that come into play on a number of holes. Delaware Golf Club's second hole is notably challenging, it is arguably the toughest hole on the front nine. This par-4 requires not only accuracy in order to avoid the ravine on the left but also distance to carry the lake and remain in the angled fairway. Golfers will be faced with one of the most difficult putts on the golf course if their approach finds the wrong side of the green.

Very playable course - have a number of good holes, blind tee shots with elevated greens.
course was in very good condition for this time of the year (12/4/2012). Greens are still rolling very good.
nice layout, fun holes, lots of tree
played on a cold november afternoon. lots of sunshine. course was wet in some spots, and the ground was soft. greens held shots, and they were lightning fast and smooth. Some tight tee shots out there, very fun layout. Will def play out there again.
Cart not charged
I went there and was told after i take care of you I'm gone for the day. The Cart wasn't completely charged and I had to push it to get it back on the front 9.
The course is not properly marked for each hole and when you go from the back to the front. The other players were rude when asking for directions. I didn't even play the back 9 because of the people and nothing friendly marked.
Best public golf course I've played this year.
I've only played public courses that used to be private country clubs and this course has been one of the best I've played. I just played it last week with a friend, and with the exception of leaves on some greens, these were the best greens I've played all year. They were smooth and fast. Keep up the good work Delaware Golf Club. Can't wait to play it in the summer.
P.S.- The only recommendation I would express, to help guide new patrons, would be better signage to next tee boxes from certain holes (especially the holes along the road).
A great course and a good value
A fun course with distinctive 9s by Donald Ross and Hurdzan/Zoeller adds great variety. The two par fives on the front, and the par 4 11th and 16 th are the best holes. The course is rarely crowded.
Front and Back nines different, but playable
Course in good shape, not crowded, so played in 3 hours.
Great course!
I should really keep my mouth shut on this one because it is such a treasure and lately it has not been crowded. But it is an awesome course and a terrific value. Very scenic for central Ohio and a good bit of relief. One of my favorite public courses. The greens are awesome.
great course
Great mixture of old and new designs with rolling hills and fine greens and fairways. Highly recommended for the weekly golfer.
Anything under $40 is a steal!!!
This is a Donald Ross hidden in Delaware County!!! Originally designed in 1922 with two tee boxes to make 18 holes! Dramatic valleys, huge trees, and water hazards make this a great challenge! Play the blues for an extra challenge!!
Great course
Enjoyed playing the courses and we have played the course again. We would recommend this course. Greens and fairways well maintained.
Middle holes are very challenging
The course is fair and fun for 6 holes, challenging for 6, and highly varied in final 6. It is a devilish course - 666. I believe the front nine is newer as it winds through housing. The back "ten", beginning with number 9, takes advantage of the natural features to provide a very interesting set of holes which are basically isolated from the development scenario. Experience is a significant factor in playing this course. The Monday rate makes it an excellent golf buy.
Course has really nice greens and fairways. Kept nice.
This course has really 2 different nines. The first 9 holes is the newest edition done back in the late 90's. The second 9 holes is mostly the orginal course with a few changes. Both 9 holes are entirely different type of courses. The course is challenging enough and plays nicly. A couple holes that are odd (on back 9). Great course for the money.
Nice course, not worth full price
Overall this is a very well maintained course with nice fast greens, a lot of the front nine is lined with houses, it's worth playing with a Golf Now discount, probably not worth full price. #16 requires a draw into the fairway or your ball will be lost, #17 is a really hokey short hole and #18 is 113 yard par 3, I found it kind of a lame set of closing holes. There was also no water available on the course which is just inexcusable especially at a pricier venue.
Thanks for the kind words! We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review, and hope to see you back here again soon!
